Watch the moon
As it dances
Across the sky
Enchanting the eyes with it’s supernatural brilliance
It’s beauty is unparalleled
Watch as the silvery light
Gracefully steals away the darkness
Becoming a paramour to the night
Watch how the stars
Burn with jealousy
At the glory that this sphere beholds
Wishing that they too
Could shine with such magnificence
With such purpose, that only the moon possesses
Look how the dew on the grass
Gleams brighter with pride
As it reflects the glittering beams
Shimmering with each gentle sway of the breeze
My hand reaches out, entwining with yours.
Standing here, watching this splendor of nature
Reflecting in your eyes,
Is more than my heart could have ever asked for.
