After many days of walking, I find myself standing on the edge of a large clearing. In the midle of this vast clearing stands the Tree of the Ancients. This tree is said to hold the power of the Ancients and house the forest spirit Shasta, Lady of the Trees. The front of the tree has but one door, by which one can enter the tree. Carved on the door is a message that reads: Many may enter, But few will leave. If you have come to see the forest spirit, you must overcome my trial. What you bring in with you, could be a blessing or a curse. My trial is a trial of reflection; you must overcome your past. This is the nature of my trial, enter only if you are sure of your past. - The Forest Spirit Shasta
The door opens as I read the last words. A strange scent of wildflowers come from the doorway, and flower petals blow out across the ground. Stepping through the door, I find myself in a small world. Around me I see hills in every direction. They continueout across the horizon, beyound them are mountains that stretch out as far as the eye can see. "Hello." Turning around, I see what apears to be a teenage girl. She is skinny, tall, has long green hair, eyes that are a green as leaves of an evergreen, and skin that is white with a pale green hue. She is wearing a dress and cloak that seem to be made of dark green leaves. Her appearance does not decieve me, for I know that she is the Ancient spirit Shasta. "Why are you here Raziel?" she asked. "Where you not banished to the Abyss?" "I was, but i found a way to get out of the Abyss." With a growl I continue, "I have come here to ask you for your power." "My power? Why do you need my power? You have great power if you can escape from the Abyss," Then with a grin she adds,"If you want me power, you will have to pass my trial." "Very well I will take your trial." Then following her into the hill side, I sent forth on my trial.
