Act 1, Scene 1 : [ Sherly and Dian on the bleachers at the gym in school. It’s a mild Thursday and class is just about to start.]
Dian: Hey Sherly! Did you hear we got a new student his name is Markess.
Sherly: Cool, I want to meet him were is he?
Dian: By the soda machines lets go.
[ They sprint across the gym headed toward markess]
Dian: Hey, markess this is my best friend Sherly.
Sherly: Hey! Sooooo… were did you come from?
Markess: From up north. I had to move because my mom died and my dads always on business trips.
Dian and Sherly: I’m so sorry.
Markess: It’s okay. It’s normal for me. I have hobbies that keep me busy.
[Bell rings]
Dian: That’s neet. Well I’ll see you tomorrow I have to go to class.
Scene 2: [Dian’s and Sherlly’s class. Just after the second bell rings]
Teacher: Okay class this is a bit odd. Marrie has been absent for the past week. She is such a healthy child. I hope she’s okay.
Dian: I can go to her house after school to check on her.
Teacher: Thank you dear. Now then lets get started.
Scene 3: [Dian and Sherly walk to Marie’s house]
Dian: I hope Marie’s okay. She’s never missed school before and she’s a strait a student.
Sherly: I know it’s kind of weird but she probley has strep or something. Any way we’re here.
[knocks on the front door]
Mar. mom: Why, hello. What may I do for you two?
Sherly: Is Marie okay. She’s hasn’t been at school for a week.
Mar. mom: I don’t know. I mean I haven’t seen her for a week either and I’m very worried.
Dian: Oh I’m so sorry.
Sherly: Yea if we see her, we will let you know.
Act2 scene 1 [at the bleachers in the gym Dian, Sherly, and markess all start talking]
Dian: Do you know a girl named Marie?
Markess: No? Why?
Sherly: Well…shes…gone
Dian: Missing!
Markess: Oh wow. She’ll probley come back home, most likely ran away.
Sherly: What’s that tann stuff on your hands.
Markess: oh umm I was tanning my boots yesterday
Sherly: Okay it just looks weird.
Dian: Yea, but whatever I just hope marie’s okay.
Markess: Well I have to go, I have things to do today that can’t wait.
Dian and Sherly: Okay? Bye
Scene2 [ at Dian’s house, Dian wlks in and puter her stuff down]
Dian: Hey mom have you seen sis?
Dian’s mom: No hun She probley went to the mall.
Dian: She didn’t tell me she was going thow.
Dian’s mom: Sorry Hun.
Dian calls Sherly]
Sherly: Hey suga whats up
Dian: Nothing much but my sister didn’t come home afte school and she always tells me if she is going somewhere
Sherly: That’s strange. Well I got to go dinners ready I’ll talk to you tomarrow at school bye (click)
Scene4 [Dian and Sherly talk on the bleachers at school]
Sherly: So did your sister ever make it home?
Dian: No! I am So worried.
Sherly: First Marie now you sister do you think they are connected?
Dian: Most likely not. It wouldn’t make sense.
Sherly. Yea guess not. Where’s markess?
Dian: Not sure. Some thing probley came up. Like his dad got back or something.
Sherly: most likely
[bell rings]
Dian: oh well lets got o class.
Scene5 [In class last 5 minutes.]
Teacher: Well class I hope You have a wonderful weekend. Oh, Dian did you check on Marie?
Dian: on yes. but bad news she has gone missing and my sister has too.
Teacher: oh me, oh my, that’s horrible.
Dian: Yea it is.
Teacher: Oh hunny I’m sure you’ll find her.
Dian: I hope so. My moms already put out a search pary.
[bell rings]
Teacher: well good luck.
Scene6 [Sherly’s house. On the phone with Dian]
Dian: Hey what are doing?
Sherly: Researching.
Dian: About?
Sherly: Up north. There have been a lot of deaths found recently. I saw it in the newspaper first. It’s really weird.
Dian: Who were they?
Sherly: A bunch girls , age ranging from 15 to 18. They were missing first though.
Dian: That’s weird at least it isn’t here in Austin, haha.
Sherly: Yea. Your right. I would be so scared I wouldn’t even go to school.
Dian: I would hide under my bed.
Sherly: I know right. Think if you knew the person too but you didn’t know he was behind it.
Dian: That’s crazy talk. Like he would even have friends. Haha. He was probley some weirdo rapist.
Sherly: most likely.
Dian: I got to go the police are here about my sister.
Sherly: Okay bye (click)
Act3 scene1 [Dian and Sherly go to the park]
Dian: I’m so worried about my sister.
Sherly: What did the police say?
Dian: That all her friends haven’t seen her or heard from her.
Sherly: Wow. I hope she’s okay.
Dian: Probley. She can Take care of herself. She has always been one of those do it yourself type.
Sherly: yea… So what are you doing tomorrow?
Dian: Nothing putting posters up.
Sherly: Can I help?
Dian: Yea of course. We need the help.
Sherly: Yay! This should really help out a lot.
Dian: yea… (Kicks rock into bush)
Markess: Ouch!
Sherly (startled): W-Who’s there?
Markess: It’s just me.
Dian: Sorry. What are you doing here?
Markess: I was umm bird watching.
Sherly: Oh? Umm you want to help lost posters tomorrow.
Markess: Sure…for what? A cat or a dog?
Dian: No! My sisters gone missing!!
Markess: Oh, yea I guess I can help out.
SHerly: cool
Dian: Meet me here at noon sharp!
Scene: [noon sharp the next day at the park.]
Dian: Okay, here are twenty posters for each of you.
Sherly: Yay! This should be fun. I can cover downtown.
Markess I can get our neighborhood.
Dain: Thanks guys! I’ll be at home waiting for phone calls. I hope there is one.
Markess: Well lets get started.
[Everyone goes there different ways]
Scene: [Dian at home sits by the phone waiting for a call. Then the phone rings]
Dian: Hello? Dian speaking.
Stranger: Why hello. Your putting up posters aren’t you? Yes of coarse you are I’m looking at one right now.
Dian: Have you seen my sister or not.
Stranger: Oh yes I have seen her. She’s not doing to well though. She’s hungry and a bit on the tired side. Poor thing.
Dian: Where is she? How do you know all this? Who are y- (click)
[ Dian hangs up the phone and calls Sherly]
Sherly: Yes dear. Haha
Dian: I got a call from guy who knows where my sister is. I think he has her captive.
Sherly: Oh my god! What’s the number?
Dian: I don’t know. He must of star 67. This sucks. He only said that she was hungry and tired.
Sherly: this isn’t good I’m going to tell markess by. (Click)
Scene: [ Markess and Sherly at the park]
Sherly: Some one knows where Dian’s sister is. He didn’t give a name or any thing though.
Markess: That’s odd. Maybe he will call back. That’s what usually happens. It’s what happened to a girl when I lived up north.
Sherly: Do you think the same thing is happening down here.
Markess: It’s possible.
Sherly: So you do?
Markess: Some people just go missing.
Sherly: yea but two in one week.
Markess: It happens
Sherly: Well I have to go almost dinner time.
Markess: Yea me too.
Act 4 scene: [Sunday at the park. Dian, Markess, and Sherly.]
Markess: Did the stranger ever call back?
Dian: No. I’m starting to get really worried. My mom started to yell at the police for not finding a lead on my sister’s case.
Sherly: It’ll be okay. I’m sure it was just a prank phone call.
Markess: Yea just a prank. Hey you guys want to go to my house and play video games.
Dian: I’m not in the mood to play but I’ll watch
Sherly: sure I’m bored anyway.
Scene [Markess gives a tour of his house and stops in his living room]
Markess: Well that’s it my house.
Dian: Cool what’s down there?
Sherly: Yea!!! What is down there
Markess: It’s the basement. Nothing is down there just a bunch of junk of my moms. It’s nothining.
Sherly: Well I want to see can we please!(starts to walk over to the door)
Markess: No! I mean haha I’d rather not my mom’s a touchy subject.
Dian: I’m sorry. Lets play video games now.
Sherly: Okay what games do you have?
Markess: Well lets see… Resident evil, Tomb Raider, Red Faction, The Sims, Halo, and Soul Caliber
Sherly: The Sims! I love that game.
Markess: okay.
Dian: Do you have anything to eat or drink?
Markess: Ummmm…No. I can run down to the gas station real fast.
Sherly: You don’t have to we can pick something up on our way back home.
Dian: Okay I guess.
[Playing video games]
Sherly: Ha Ha ! I have more money then you!!
Markess: I can fix that.
Sherly: Hey don’t spend my money. Cheater HAHA!!
Dian: Oh crap it’s 5:00. Sherly we have to go.
Sherly: Oh snap your right. Bye Markess see you at school.
Markess: Okay bye.
Scene [ school the next day. Dian, Sherly, and Markess]
Dian: Hey guys! Dude look at this…[ pulls out newspaper ] another girls gone missing.
Sherly: No way that’s so weird!
Markess: Uh yea it is.
Dian: I wonder what has happened to all of them.
Sherly: Definitely your sister. Has that guy called back yet?
Dian: No maybe it was just a prank call. It seemed like he really knew where she was though.
[Markess gets up and leaves unexpectedly]
Sherly: Where did Markess go anyway he was just here?
Dian: I don’t know maybe he went to go do something. People do that you know.
Sherly: Shut up, I know perfectly well. Haha.
Dian: haha okay well lets go to class.
[class room]
Teacher: Dian, Sherly come see me please.
Dian: Yes
SHerly: coming
Teacher: Have you heard anything about Marie and your sister?
Dian: No not yet
Teacher: Well how rude of a person. Any who have you seen the papers?
Sherly: Yes we did another girl went missing.
Teacher: Not just any girl. My daughter. She didn’t come home after school. Then she wasn’t home this morning.
Dian: I’m so sorry. The police are still on my sister’s case, I could inform them about your daughter.
Teacher: No need I’ve already called.
SHerly: What ever we can do to help.
Teacher: That won’t be necessary children. The bells going to ring soon go collect your things.
Scene [Dian’s house. The phone rings, Dian picks up]
Dian: Hello? Dian speaking.
Stranger: Hello again.
Dian: Who is this? Where is my sister?
Stranger: Starting this again, you’re going to make me hang up on you again and we don’t want that.
Dian: Just …What is your name?
Stranger: That’s not important. Your sister is getting worse it would be a pity for her to waist away.
Dian: Do you have Marie and another girl.
Stranger: I may… but why would you care?
Dian: Why wouldn’t I-(click)
Dian: Dang!!
[Dian calls Sherly]
Sherly: Yes suga.
Dian: That guy called back.
SHerly: The pranker?
Dian: It wasn’t a prank he has Marie and our teachers daughter too.
Sherly: Did you get his name?
Dian: No, I tried but he wouldn’t give.
Sherly: Well crap! We have to tell the police.
Dian: Yea your right. I’ll tell them the next time they come over which should be in the next two hours.
Sherly: Right I have to go doll my mom’s making me help cook.
Dian: Okay bye.(click)
Scene [School, Friday]
Dian: Hey markess where did you go Monday?
Markess: I had to clean my house up.
Dian: It took 3 days to clean your house?
Markess: Yea it did a squirrel died in the basement big mess.
Sherly: Oh… is your mom’s stuff okay?
Markess: umm it is.
Dian: That’s good. That stranger guy called back again.
Markess: Oh? So it was another prank?
Dian: No it wasn’t.
Markess: Okay sorry.
Sherly: I want to do something after school today.
Markess: Well lets go to my house and hang out. I’ll get Chinese.
Dian: Sounds good.
Sherly: Yea it does. Lets go.
Scene [Markess’s house, living room]
Dian: So bout that food?
Markess: Crap, right I’ll be right back 30 minutes at the most.
Sherly and Dian: Okay.
[Markess leaves]
Dian: I’m going to see what’s in his kitchen.
[Dian screams]
Sherly: What is it?
Dian: There is bloody hair in the sink.
Sherly: He did say a big squirrel died.
Dian: I thought he cleaned it up.
Sherly: Big squirrel I guess.
Dian: Oh well…eww.
[Opens up a cabinet]
Dian: Hey who leaves tape recorders in there cabinets? Lets listen to them.
Sherly: okay… why not.
[presses play]
Markess:…What’s your name?
Girl: I won’t tell you!!
Markess: Why not? It doesn’t matter anyway you’ll be one of my pretty knick knacks soon.
[presses stop]
Sherly: Dian? What was that?
Dian: I don’t know lets take this to the police.
Sherly: What about the girls?
Dian: What if he’s the one calling my house?
Sherly: Oh my god! The basement! He didn’t want us going down there. That must be were he is keeping them. Where are you going?
Dian: The basement, my sister’s in there.
[shuts basement door behind her]
Sherly: Crap! I hope she doesn’t get stuck down there. Oh no he’s coming back. [peers down basement] Dian!! Get out of there he is coming back!
Dian: Coming!!!!!
[markess opens the door and finds Dian and Sherly sitting on the couch]
Sherly: Hey look you got food!
Dian: haha lets eat!
Markess: Okay? What’s the matter with you Dian you look like you saw a ghost?
Dian: I’m just worried about my sister.
[They finish eating and Sherly and Dian say good byes]
Markess: Bye guys… hey Dian?
Dian: Yea what?
Markess: What is that? [Points to back pocket]
Dian: What’s what?
Markess: [Walks over to her and grabs her wrist] This. Is it my tape recorder?
Dian: Let go of me!
Sherly: Hey! Let go of her we need to leave!!
Markess: To go were the police? You Know my secret. You can’t leave.
Sherly: Dian… get free and run!
Dian: I can’t. Run to the police I’ll be fine.
Sherly: I’ll be beck soon hold on.
Markess: HA! They won’t believe you. They didn’t believe the other girls up north either. So I moved here just in case.
Sherly: [screams and runs to the police]
Markess: as for you. You will be joining the others in the basement.
Dian: At least I’ll be with my sister.
Markess: That is true you will but not for long. Marie died in a week and a half.
Dian: That was her hair in the sink wasn’t it?
Markess: It was. Do you want to know what I did with the body?
Dian: Sure why not. All I have is time right?
Markess: Well she made a wonderful rug.
Dian: Gross!! You freak let go of me!! I’m not a knick knack!!
Act 5 scene [police department. Sherly out of breath]
Sherly: Oh my god! Detective you have to help me now, she is going to die!!
Police: Calm down. What’s going on?
Sherly: My friend Dian… she’s kidnapped by Markess a kid in our school and he’s going to kill her like he did to Marie and her sister maybe!!
Police: Do you have any proof?
Sherly: Well no…Dian had it but then Markess saw it and took it right along with her.
Police: Okay I’ll take a walk threw of the house. Do you want to come with me?
Sherly: You have arrest him. He killed everyone up north too!! He is the killer!!
Police: All I can do is a walk threw. So do you want to come with me or not?
Sherly: Fine I’ll go. But, you have to check the basement.
Police: Okay I will lets go.
[ Markess’s house. Police knocks on door]
Markess: Hello officer. Is everything okay? …
Sherly? Why hello.
Sherly: Don’t give me that you freak!
Police: I would like to take a walk threw of your house.
Markess: Right this way sir.
Police: Thank you, but I’m really interested in your basement.
Markess: Well…go check.
Police: Oh my god look at this. [walkie talkie]
This is officer Nixon and we need back up now!
Markess: If they can find you. HAHA!! [ shuts and locks door]
Act 6 scene [back up at markess’s house]
Backup: [Bangs on door] Open up this is the police!!
Markess: Yes officers?
Backup: Your under arrest and were is officer Nixon?
[hand cuffs Markess]
Markess: For What?!
Backup: For up north and what you did with officer Nixon, Sherly, Dian, and Dian,s sister.
Markess: How did you find out?
Backup: Walkie talkies my murderous friendly foe thing.
Markess: Dang. I can’t believe you actually believed that Sherly girl.
Backup: Shut up and get in the car!
[Backup breaks down basement door]
Backup: Officer Nixon?! Girls?! You down here?
Everyone: YES!!!!
Backup: We’re coming don’t move!
[turns on light]
Backup: Holy cow! Would you look at this he was sewing human skin together to make rugs and furniture covers.
Police: Thank god you made it. We need to get these girls out of here.
Sherly: [hugs Dian] I told you it would be soon.
Dian: Not soon enough though. Haha
Sherly: Hey I did my best. Wow this is creepy lets go home.
Dian: We aren’t all going home though. My sister has to go to the hospital.
Sherly: At least she’ll be safe there. Haha 24/7 surveillance cameras.
Dian: yeppers. I’m glad he’s getting arrested though.
Sherly: Me too. Lets go home now I want something to drink.
Scene: [ SHerly’s house . Watching the news]
Newsman: There is a search warrant out on a Markess haring. He escaped from prison and hasn’t been seen. We don’t know what he wants. I would keep all windows and doors locked at all times for safety reasons. I repeat he has escaped. Be on the look out.
[Sherly calls Dian]
Dian: Hello Dian speaking.
Sherly: Oh my god Dian he’s gotten away.
Dain: No he couldn’t.
SHerly: he did.
Dain: Gracious hold me I’m scared.
Sherly: Me too.
[looks at t.v.]
Newsman: We have another missing persons report a Lindsey hawthorn. If you see or hear from her let us know…
