Chapter 3: What comes next.
It was a week later. The four of them sat around a tv watching a football game. It was there two favorite teams facing off. Again, the favorite was about to when, and then a emergency broadcast announcement.
"This is the Emergency Broadcast System warning you to stay indoors at all times for residents of the following town(s): Layfette, Boulder, Broomfi-"
"STUPID EBS RUINING THAT FINAL TOUCHDOWN! WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK THEY ARE, THE GOVERNMENT?!" Shouted Joe while throwing popcorn and Mountain Dew everywhere.
"Hey, shut up. It said Layfette. Last time I checked, we are sitting in the middle of that town. And, you gotta pick that up. My mom'll get pissed if she finds a mess," Proclaimed Alex.
"WHATEVER. Hey, let's go see what's up. I bet it has something to do with the satalite. I mean, why else would they want us inside?" After Joe asked that, he busted up the stairs popped his head out for a second and got blasted bye snow and wind.
"HEY, JOE, IF YOU STAYED LONGER YOU WOULD HAVE READ THAT THERE WAS A BLIZZARD WARNING FOR THOSE TOWNS!" Yelled Carmen from downstairs. She was busy picking up Joe's mess. He came down and helped her finish the job. He followed with a thanks and a kiss.
"Well that's just great, now could y'all get a room?" Asked Devin sarcasticly. This was followed by popcorn coronal to the head.
Then the power went out. They were stuck in the basement, During the Superbowl, on a Sunday attempting to not kill each other. After some rustling of papers and a "Ow get off my hair!", Alex found and turned on a flash light. He pointed it at the rest of the group. Carmen was attemping to grab her hair out from below Devin's butt, and Joe was curled up in a little ball. Then he realized some light was on.
"Well what else are we to do but act weird in the dark?" Asked Alex sarcastically.
