Today's Future
Chapter #1-The Begining

“Ugh…what happened?” I moan as I regain my conscience and sit up rubbing my head. As soon as I sat up, I fell back again. My body ached, for it felt like I have been asleep for ages. I looked around and found myself in what looked like a lab, lying in a bed. My vision was a bit hazy but I was able to make out a couple of people in white lab coats walking around. Then when my vision went back to normal, I was finally able to recognize where I was.

Everything around me was white and spotless. There were doctors and nurses running back and forth throughout the hallway. All I did was lay there and watch as they zoomed past my bed. A couple of hours passed and a nurse comes up to me. “You’re awake?” she asked with a surprised expression on her face. “Yeah, I guess. Why am I hospitalized?” I ask. Amazed at the sight. “When did they get the chance to build all of this?” I thought again. As I walked down the streets it started to rain. It was only a matter of time when puddles had begun to form. I stopped to examine my reflection in the one of the tiny pools of water. The ripples that the raindrops had created were making my reflection difficult to make out.

The rain clouds had blown far away now, revealing the sun, its rays beaming down on me. So I stood there, basking in the warmth of the light. I looked back down at the puddle and kneeled down to examine myself. When I saw my reflection, I was dumbfounded...
