3-2 Shoot Out Loss
2:00 PM: Montreal is entering Atlanta to face the Thrashers. Cristobal Huet will have the task to stop the thrashers from taking away two or one points. Ilya Kovalchuk has 28 goals and is, obviously, the goal-scoring leader in the NHL. Alex Kovalev has 25 points in 27 career games versus Atlanta.
7:56 PM: 1-1 after 1! Momentum changed when Young Sergei Kostitsyn scored after a barrage of shots. It woke us up, because Atlanta kinda dominated us. They scored a goal less than 5 minutes in. Koivu and Komisarek both got passes on Kostitsyn's goal... Kool... XD Vyacheslav Kozlov scored and Perrin and Hossa got assists.
8:37 PM: 2-1 Atlanta... Perrin with the second goal, Hossa with the second assist. Lapierre had a bad penalty which led to that goal... We were controlling the match until the penalty was called.
9:50 PM: 3-2 Loss... dissapointing loss. We played well in the first and second, and great chances on the third. 1 win and 1 Shoot out lost in the six game road-trip so far. It's the second time this season that Atlanta has won in a SO.
My three Stars: 1-Marian Hossa 2-Kari Lethonen 3-Alex Kovalev Honorable mentions: Eric Perrin
Score sheet: Montreal: Sergei Kostitsyn, Alex Kovalev Atlanta: Vycheslav Kozloz, Eric Perrin, Marian Hossa
Next game: Dallas Stars, December 23rd.
