After Christmas, I'm going to go see a buttload of movies. First on my list is, of course, Sweeny Todd. I'm trying to convince my Mom to take me on Christmas, since I need a parent and all.

Here I am going to vent a bit: it is soooo retarded how you need to bring a parent/guardian to see and R movie, instead of just someone who's over 18. My sister, who's 19, can't take me because she's not "My legal guardian" and when my mom went up there to buy the tickets for us, they said "No, you need to see the movie w/ them." It's not enough that she gave her permission by buying us the frickin tickets in the first place, she actually has to stay and WATCH IT.

anyway, back to Sweeny. I love just about all musicals, so I'm usually first in line to see them turn into movies. Living here in VA, we don't get a lot of musicals. We JUST got Lion King to come, and it's been out for like 20 years. Luckily, Wicked is so popular that it's coming sometime in 08/09. Anywayz, the prospect of Johnny Depp (who I don't find hot but think he is just about the best actor out there), Tim Burton, singing, and killer barbers is just too much to resist.

Other than that, I'm going to see I am Legend, The Chipmunks, National Treasure, and Orphanage. Most people probally have never heard of the last one, but it's made by Guillermo Del Toro, who made Pan's Labyrinth. I have no idea what it's about, but I want to go see it just because he made it.

On a dif topic, a kid in Richmond got suspended for writing names in an obviously fake death note! They treated him like one of those people who write in their diaries that they're going to blow up the school! He even made the news! (Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJF1No5JQPQ) Watch it. It's hilarious. Instead of saying "He wrote down names of people he wanted to kill" they take the thing completely serious and say things like "Go to this site and write down who will die." Virginias at their most retarded.
