The Holocaust Could've Been Avoided If Not For Religion I still completely agree with my other entry on religion 100% but this is something intresting I learned watching a show on National Geographic about Nazism and the Occult. Adolf Hittler received all of his White Aryan Supremicist Bullshit ideas from a Protestant Preacher who published a racist and anti-semitic newspaper using the churches money. Hitler was friends with this man and saw him as a mentor. So, if this priest was not there, spreading his ideas of hate using his religion, Hitler could've been different. Also, during WWI, Hitler got lost in a woodland area of France without his weapon and other supplies. A British soldier who had killed numerous Germans that day accidently ran into him. Seeing as he was unarmed, the man decided not to take Hitler's life. If he would have been a real soldier, the outcome would have been the opposite. Therefore, again, preventing what happened 20 years later.

	with or without religion, men are easily corrupted by power. Hitler was a mad lunatic, there is no denying that. I doubt he would have turned out much differently without religion, besides, like you said in your other entry, the world would likely crumble if people did not have faith to rely upon. I do see your point, but people will hate each other for their differences, religion is just yet another faccet of this vicious cycle. It is unfortunate, but it is human nature.
