It's a modernized person version of the Cheshire Cat.

Background: Born into a family of poverty. Kenneth Cheshire developed skills that would benefit him for not getting catch because he lived in the bad part of town. Later on in his life, he joined a gang because his family was falling into poverty and had barely any money. They mainly recruited him for his slyness, "disappearing and appearing", and being unnoticed until he wanted to be seen. He earned the nickname "Cat" for these traits. He did this not knowing it was wrong and they said that they would help him if he helped them.

The gang made money off of stolen goods and sold tham on the night market. They even stole items belonging to the Queen of Harts with the help of The Cat and The Knave of Hearts. Later on the gang encountered another gang. This meeting between the two groups lead to a large fight. The fight was burtal and cruel. Many people died, some took longer than others. He managed to escape with his life but the events he witness made him mad. The proof of that night is a scar on his left cheek made by the opposing side with a knife and the new look in his eyes because they pluse with red veins and are always bright and open. He lost many friends in that quarl.

Afterward, The King of Harts caught the villians that robbed his home but didn't want to give a punishment to them because he would kill his own son. The Knave and the Cat however escaped when the Queen issued the command, "Off with their heads!!"

He now annoys people with riddles, philosiphy, questions and nonsense and goes wherever he pleases. He has become more agile because shock of the event driggered a reflexive repluse in his brain and body. So he can dodge and avoid danger quicker than he did before. He enjoys watching people put on a "play" for him. He joins in when he wants things to be more interesting. He is now always smiling and "happy" aka MAD.
