Yeah that't the kind of town i moved too.... Theirs a little resteraunt here called the 'Homestead' wonderful place and has great food. Thing is that EVERYBODY knows EVERYBODY! Like first name basis and the cook comes out and sits and talks kinda knows everybody.
So i started questioning my waitress, and she brought up that she thinks of Dr Pepper as water.... Wait a second! I moved to the north! If she likes it then more than likely she's not from the north! (most people in the northern US like Pepsi and Coke products thought like cars every company ships and bottles everyone elses... Kinda doesn't make since.) So like i said i got to talking to her (yes i'm the type of person who will pick up conversations with ANYONE!) FOund out she's from California. (though they arn't really known for drinking DP but close enough!)
Thus our friendship grew from our love of DP and the depression of no one here knowing what TexMex is. (They don't know how to make alot of the basic things done in the south.)
I am happy to find someone with my same problems though. Im an extrovert, i thrive off of being around others. But its seems to snow at least every other day here... Though i'm not a real fan of the 100 degree wheather i came from i was able to get out alot more. Plus their were people in the area with my interest. The town i live in has a large population of home school children, so most of them go "what is manga? Anime?"
Kind of depressing. Though i do have one or two friends in the south still that keep in touch.
Just so you know i use North and south in hopes on not insulting anyone... I understand being fatefull to your home state seeing as i am still to mine. I don't want to upset anyone cause its just two diffrent ways of living. In a way its a culture shift, just as much as a climate one.
Anywho, i've rambled enough. Was bored so i wanted to get some stuff off my chest. More than likely that's what this is going to be for me. Though i plan to keep it PG-13, anyone can say their a certain age. (dosen't understand age restrictions on the net, all you have to do is lie....)
Perhaps i'll do an about me later or work on the one in my profile. Once if figure out how to use it! I suck at any kind of coding thing, i usually get my friend to do it for me cause she can decifer things like that!
