I bought no comics this week. Instead I picked up the DVD of Neil Gaiman's A Short Film About John Bolton.
It's a pretty good movie, well.. short movie. It runs about half an hour, is written and directed by Gaiman, and has over two hours of extras. A commentary track with Gaiman and one of the actors who was also a producer, a making of feature, an audio only bit of Gaiman reading the original short story that inspired the movie, and the "Gaiman Live at the Alladin" thing that the CBLDF have been selling for a while. It also includes some mock biographies for the characters in the movie, and a listing of all the other DVD's carried by the company that put this one out, all documentries or docudrama's or whatever. Sadly only about six of them include trailers.
Anywho, I enjoyed it. The movie was a bit predictable but still entertaining. I liked the fact that John Bolton only made a cameo in the movie and that they had an actor playing him. heh.
I also picked up a copy of Carlos Castenada's The Teachings of Don Juan. It's a book written by an anthropology student detailing his training and apprenticeship to a Yaqui Shaman from the Sonora region of Mexico. It's pretty interesting so far. Not to far into it though so I don't have a lot of talk about yet. Still! I'm enjoying it muchly.
