Ah yes Black Metal. I first began to listen to it after seeing a COF shirt at Hot Topic. Lame way to start, eh? I eventually transitioned to Dimmu Borgir and then to Immortal. I was off on a journey. However, this journey disgusted me. I detest the early second wave bands. Erynomyous was an idiot for believing that killing, rape, and torture were good because they were anit-biblical or as he put it "evil." Same goes for Kristian Vikerness except that he seems to actually have some sort of brain. But not really, considering that he just couldn't resist putting that knife in Euronmynouses skull. He could not have let the half naked man flee, he just had to protect himself from a shorter, weaker person. Kristian also seems to not be able to let go of a old way of thinking. Everyone needs to realize that there are no more Europeans, Asians, Indians or or any other ans. Our world is becoming more and more connected, and we should embrace it, not fear or hate it. We are all the superior species, but no one is of superior race. This carries me onto my next topic of scrutinization. Black Metal seemed to have generated a small amount (or large, I don't really know or care) of fans that act mentally ******** retarded. These bastards are worse than Evangelical Christians. With their Hail Satan s**t and UNBELIEVABLE non-conformity rolleyes These c**k sucking a**l ******** have yet to realize that lyrics do not have to be literal. I listen to Black Metal because of the feeling of power. Power is life, sex, everything except death and all dealing with death. I mean, I really, truly, from within my Slavic heart, don't see how Dead wasn't a mentally disturbed and depressed EMO. ********, the bastards who think that Christianity is holding our civilizstions back should remember what the hell their music is talking about. Yes, let us destroy an entire thriving culture because a couple of our ancestors died 900 years ago. I have seen every genre of black metal, I've heard some and I plan to listen to few. I am sorry if I offended anyone with this, it is purely my opinion, and I wish you to not take it to heart.

The whole 2nd generation sounds like a soap opera to me...
Euronymous was really ******** up in the head, but he probably said most of those things to scare people, which that was all Mayhem was really about when they first came around. Then Varg gets pissed when Euronymous closes down his shop and he kills him, and then Nargaroth makes a song about it, lmfao. Actually, they could probably make it into a musical instead of a soap opera, but either one works.
What I don't like are these black metal bands with national socialistic views, or when all they sing about is Satan and pissing on god. Although I don't like their lyrics some of the best bands I have heard are NSBM bands, music wise :/
I hate black metal nazi's too. The people who think you have to be kvlt and tr00 to only listen to Graveland or (insert other extremely underground grim & kvlt obscure band), and that listening to CoF or Dimmu is taboo. Oh well, your journal was interesting and had a lot of good points.
