First this: I enjoy my time here. I have loved building profiles, meeting friends, joining contests, and winning at them. lol!
Second: As can be read in my previous journal, I am a supporter of Gaia. I buy items, I've never been banned before, and the only rule Ive missed is having a large file in my signature. I think along with Gaia, I want it to become a nice place.

BUT, I have to add: I totally agree with all the complaints. I have some myself:

1. The bannings are just rediculous. I have never been banned myself, but from the sound of it, lots of bans were undeserved! I get the feeling I could be banned for doing practicly nothing! So many rumors, but nothing gets cleared up. I wished there would be an announcement about this subject.
2. Instead of doing what is really important to their members though, Gaia chooses to release items. Expensive items. Aswell as in the shops as in the cashshop. Now, I hope that I'm wrong. But that sounds corrupt.
3. And as more items appear, more bugs start appearing, and they wont get solved because they are just too many..

Gaia at this point seems to be corrupt. But I believe it's all because of their sponsors. They need to make more proffit to make it work out, but few Gaians want to keep spending this much money into a place that could ban you so easily. It has become unfair!

But I have also tried thinking of some solutions:

1. How about instead always banning Gaians, PRAISE them when they make a report of something bad? Not as a reward of course. That would only cause people to spam the reportbuttons. I mean, that once someone reports something, and it gets solved. The reporter gets a thumb up of some sort, and gets to avoid bannings because of their good behavour. Getting the voting system open to other Gaians would be a bad idea though. So let's have mods rate people's behavours. I am also quite fond of the system they use on Newgrounds.com:

2. From the beginning of the cashshop I thought it was a good idea, because it would get rid of inflation. And indeed it does: These items are worth lots of gold. People can buy and sell to buy the expensive items available in the normal shops, that brings more rare items into the market, I know. But my opinion is biased anyway: Gaia is overdoing it. It started out for me with 2 enveloppes, but since the cashshop I've spent more than I ever wanted, and I am sure I am not the only one.
3. And as the Roman empire keeps growing, just as users become uncontrollable, so do the items here on Gaia. There's so many bugs, and there is just no way they will all be fixed. Also there are just too many people here on Gaia to be judged as individuals. It's impossible! Result: Undeserved bans and crappy avatars...

I hope Gaia will find the time to work on important matters like these..
