5-4 OT loss
Game Preview: After getting a shutout last game, Cristobal Huet will be in net to battle against pucks shot at him from the Washington Capitals. This is the last game against the Washington Capitals this season. If it turns out like last game, it should be a great game.
1st intermission: 1-0 Capitals after one. It was a dissapointing one. We played well on some occasion but it seemed like not enough to counter the Caps offence. Huet did okay, but not spectacular. It's 12-7 shots for Capitals. It was once 6-0. So yeah... not a great one.
2nd intermission: Well Caps lead 3-2 after two periods. Looks like we might make a comeback to win it. We need to ameliorate the shots on goal though. 25-13...... simply wow... Ovechkin gets two goals as well as the Kostitsyn brothers.
Description of goals: Sergei Kostitsyn scores after getting a missed shot from Guillaume Latendresse. 3-1 Washinton. Then, Andrei scored with 0.7 seconds left in the period. 3-2 Washington.
3rd intermission: Wow! Latendresse! What a hero! 4-4 after 3 periods! Even with Ovechkin's superb hat trick, the Canadiens managed to make a comeback and get one point to get near to Ottawa! Going in OT. His second time with two goals in one game against the Capitals.
Description of Goals: Latendresse's first goal was scored after many passes were made. 4-3 Washington. Then Habs poked the puck out of Kolzig's chest and Tender burries it! 4-4!
Final: Ovechkin, Ovechkin, Ovechkin... what a guy! Four goals for the russian superstar. Heartbreaker for sure. *sigh* Habs and Caps delivered and made one heck of a match. It's really a dissapointment that we won't be playing them again. The shots on goal were horrible though! 38-21 Washington.... absolutely horrible! The Kostitsyn brothers scored both in the same game for the first time since a really really long time.
