5-3 Lost
Game Preview: Montreal plays their second game in two night. It will be against the New York Rangers. New Yourk has won the previous two duels 4-3 and 4-1. If we will win this game, we will be only one point away from the conference leader. Kovalev and Plekanec are on a roll right now, and let's hope it will keep going!
1st intermission: Montreal is one heck of an amazing team! We are leading 2-0 after one period. Powerplay is killing the other team, while the Penalty Killing outpowers the enemy's PP. I know. Bad word game... Two russians, Andrei Markov and Alex Kovalev, have our Powerplay goals. This is a completely different Canadiens team from last year. I'm not only talking about players, I'm talking about team work, motivation, etc. Cristobal Huet has been good. 9-4 shots on goal for Montreal.
2nd Intermission: Wow. Hollweg should just change his name to a*****e. He goes and boards Sergei Kostitsyn. But Atleast it's good to see Sergei is back on the ice. Wow, what a moron he is. Changing Subject. What a comeback from New York! 3-3 after two periods. Three unaswwered goals from the Rangers. This even looks like a play-offs game. Our plays looks like we're angry. It looks like we keep making plays too quickly and not taking our time. But seriously, what a game, so intense! Can't wait for the third!
Final: What a game. It's a dissapointing loss, a big dissapointing loss. 5-3 Rangers. We were leading 3-0 and the Rangers managed to get a huge comeback scoring 5 goals and winning the game. Nothing, absolutely nothing seemed to work after the Rangers got their first goal. I hope we won't be playing like this on tuesday or we're dead. Unbelievable. I think I jinxed the game. After the first period, I said we were playing amazingly, and They end up losing.
My three Stars: 1-Chris Drury 2-Scott Gomez 3-Andrei Markov
Score sheet: Montreal: Andrei Markov, Alex Kovalev, Sergei Kostitsyn New York: Michal Rozsival, Brandon Dubinsky, Scott Gomez, Chris Drury, Martin Straka
Next game: Ottawa Senators, February 5th.
