So I found out yesterday that I got rejected from one PhD program. I'm waiting for the other three to get back to me. I got invited by Stanford to go visit them for a weekend at the end of the month. I have papers to fill out and things to research before I go, which will be kinda scary. I was upset at first because more than looking at it as not being rejected, I viewed it as not being accepted.
When I think about the process of waiting for schools to get back to me, I start to get sick to my stomach.
In addition to this stress is the stress that comes from Mike and the fact that none of the three remaining schools are easy to travel to, which means rough times ahead in our relationship.
