I was sitting in the car with my friend, and i noticed her smiling while she was looking out the window. I asked her, "Why are you smiling?"
Rather bluntly, she said, "I'm trying to change the world."
I asked her what she meant, and she replied, "How many people do you see smiling in their cars?"
I looked out the window defiantly, trying to prove her wrong, but I saw none. As a way of answer, I didn't answer.
I saw her waving to an elderly woman sitting alone in her car, scowling. But when the lady saw her waving, she replaced that scowl with a slight smile and waved back.
"Do you know that woman?" I questioned.
"Nope."
I let that thought stew for a moment, all the while trying to catch someone smiling in their car (i only saw one, but i'm not entirely sure if an almost twitch of the cheek muscle counts), and i realized that she might not be out of her mind after all...
