I am so ******** sick of intolerance and stuff like that.
There is apparently a rumor that Obama is a Muslim. I, personally, have never heard this ridiculous piece of drivel, and even if I had, I probably wouldn't have believed it and Googled it. The moment that you Google "Obama Muslim" you come across pages of info DEBUNKING this myth.
But anyway. Even if he was Muslim, that shouldn't change if you would vote for him or not. Scratch that, let me rephrase: Obama being a Muslim shouldn't be the KEY factor in deciding whether or not you will vote for him. You shouldn't go "Oh, he's a Muslim? Ew, gross. I'm not voting for one of THOSE" without looking at what he believes and the like.
There is more to a candidate than his/her race, gender, age, sex, hair color, eye color, sexuality, etc! There is their platform and what they believe in as far as politics go! I mean, fine. Those can play a part in your feelings about a person, but as a whole, they should not be the only things you look at.
Look at me, for an example. I hated Hillary just on principle. Hated her. Still do, as a person. But I have taken the prerogative to look at the different candidates' sites, and I actually agree with Hillary more than I do with Obama. Which has honestly made me hate them both equally.
I dunno. It's all because of this thread. I just find that I can't stand intolerant people, and that Christians happen to be the most intolerant of them all. And that's not all Christians, of course. It just seems to be the ones I meet.
