A Wolf's Heart Cries (another story)
Somari awoke at in a clearing at the foot of a mighty waterfall, confused and alone. Not remember of anything the night, or any time before that. Lying there trying to figure out why she had come to be here, where was she from, where was everyone? No scent of any other wolves, or animals for that matter. When trying to get up a sharp pain engulfs the whole left side of her body thus bringing her back down to the ground. She then discovers what appear to be the bleeding scars of battle all up and down the side of her body. She lays there for a while contimplating different things in her head. Should she try to move? Why was it so quiet around her(other than the waterfall that is)? Where were all the birds and other animals? Something wasn't right. Despite the pain she made up her mind to venture forward wherever it may be and that instinct was telling her that something was gravely wrong with the place she had found herself in. So pushing through the pain, she ventured on for miles seeing nothing but trees. Not so much as even a little rabbit hopping through. About this time not only pain but hunger was starting to set in and seeing not a one animal was driving her to the brink it seemed. Yet she still continued in hopes of finding something or someone familiar. She kept going about another mile until she came upon one of the most gruesome sites that ever has beheld her eyes. in a clearing she found herself surrounded by hundreds of wolf bodies, some she could barely even tell that they were wolves. Seeing this suddenly brought memories of torture, anguish, and dismay. She remembered everything. She remembered the great battle between her wolf clan, Dysfaria and the rival Wolf clan, Agranon. The blood shed, the destruction, the lives lost. She being the only one of both clans to survive. It brought tears to her eyes as she started to howl. Her heart had been broken, along with her spirit. She being the only one of both clans to survive. But nothing seemed to explain how she got to the water fall. She remembered only falling to the ground in the clearing where she fought with her brethren. So how did she get to the base of the waterfall? Deciding it was somewhat meaningless now she vetured on alone, hungry, and still in pain in search of life. Coming to the edge of the forrest, which she had never done before, she came upon something strange and new to her. She came upon a house. It had such weird smells coming out of it, some smelled of food, but most where strange smells she had never smelled before. What were they? They didn't smell of any other animal or plant to her so what were they? Her desperation for food though got the better of her and she threw caution to the wind as she walked closer to the strange smells. She came so close that she could feel the warmth from inside and at that moment the door opened and out came strange creatures. They stood on two legs and were almost completely furless except for their heads. She stood as if frozen in time because by then she had no strength to outrun them. Scared and out of strength she stood there terrified not knowing what to do. Then all of a sudden she passed out from the exhaustion she had endured and lay there motionless in the grass. To be continued............
