Chapter 4

Evan rushed outside, there in front of him stood a handful of funny looking heartless. Their bodies were round and they appeared to have arm-like structures poking out of their bodies. Without much time to react, the heartless began to attack.

"Evan watchout!" yelled Sora, charging the heartless with his keyblade.

"Thanks . . . .I guess" whispered Evan, catching his breath.

"Don't thank me yet, vampire boy" said Sora, pointing toward Lock, Shock, and Barrel, who where escaping in that strange walking tub.

"Hey get back here!" growled Evan running after the three trouble makers.

Sora ran after Evan, Jack close behind. The boys ran as fast as they could but, the strange tub was too quick.

"s**t! We lost sight of them" growled Sora, looking over Oogie Boogie's tower.

"Not for long . . . "

"What could you possib---"

Evan stepped back, bending down a bit. Sora watched in amazement as a huge black wing began to pierce through Evan's right shoulder. Could he be?. . . nah, he didn't fit the description. Long black hair, dark blue eyes . . . and a strange name . . . somthing with a K. Sora really didn't remember the name Cloud had told him but, he knew it wasn't Evan.

"I'll be right back"

Evan took off in the sky with lightning speed, his black angel-like wing barely flapping. Within seconds he landed in front of Sora, gusting up a bunch of wind in his face.

"You're an a*****e" growled Sora, sheilding his eyes from the up-blown dirt.

Evan gave a light laugh."Sorry didn't see you there. . . . I found were they took Raniece. She's in their playroom."

Jack eyes widened.

"They're gonna sacrifice her to Oogie Boogie! We have to hurry!"

Jack, Sora, and Evan made there way to the evil playroom, bursting down the door. Evan stared in anger as he saw Lock, Shock and Barrel getting ready to throw Raniece through the chute to Oogie Boogie's dungeon. Evan charged toward the three as fast as he could but, it was too late. Evan could hear Raniece scream as she fell, for what seemed like an eternity.

"Ha ha ha what a loser" giggled Lock.

"Yeah hahahaha" laughed Shock and Barrel.

Evan's head still hung low, his hair covering his eyes, as he turned to faced the laughing trio.

"Evan. . . . ?"

Sora was once again amazed by this vampire boy. His body began to glow a bright red and flash. Streams of energy surged through the room as Evan's face became visible again . . . . but, it wasn't Evan's face it was . . . . . Sephiroth's.
