Life. What do we see it as?

Many people interpret life in their own ways. Why we're here, what are we here for, what are we supposed to do. Some ideas are very believable and easily followed. While some ideas need more explaining and thought; or maybe are just a little too far-fetched seeming.

I believe that the only purpose in life, is to make others happy, realize you're not perfect, and move on when things happen. And that happiness and sadness is balanced, and if set off balance, could ruin life as we know it.

First off, all things happen for a reason. Let's say happiness is graded on a scale of -10 ~ 10. -10 being absolute depression, and 10 being perfect happiness. And 0 is a balance between good and bad.
If only bad things happened, we would never understand what it means to be happy. Everything would just get worse and worse, until eventually society would slump into a depression so huge, it'd be unreversable. Life would just collapse into nothing.

If only good things happened though, life would be just as bad. Only good things would happen to you, and you'd keep getting happier and happier. I know you may be thinking "What's so bad about that? Being happy is really cool!"
Haha. Yeah it is. But being perfectly happy is a completely different story. If you were to be perfectly happy (10 on the scale), then what would you have to look forward to? Nothing would make you happier anymore. Sure you'd be really happy, but soon your body would adjust and think that the peak of happiness, is normal. And since you can't get happier, you would feel as though you're just depressed your whole life, which returns me to my previous statement: That all life would just slump into a chronic depression.

I believe that for good things to happen, equally bad things must occur somewhere else as well. Kind of like, an opposite mirror reflection of actions, if you will. If someone loses a $20 bill, the someone, somewhere is finding a $20 bill, or receiving some kind of happiness equivalent to their perception of happiness that is equal to the perception of sadness that was felt from the one who lost the money.

Life as we are in now, is nothing more than a judgment stage. If we succeed in finding the meaning of life now, then the afterlife, or the eutopia of your world, will await you once you leave the shell used to pass the test that everyday people like us call...

Life.

This all could be the structure of a religion to be called "Libraism"

The root word meaning "Libra" which is the greek word for "Balance"
Greeks had a similar belief. But their perception of an afterlife eutopia as not among their minds.

The idea of someone's happiness being based on your own depression seems a bit too, fake. For each time you've been happy, you've been sad. But there are also different interpretations of happiness. A starving family would be happy having only a loaf of bread as their dinner for a night, while we would be depressed if our only food for a night was bread. Also, if we had a feast, that would be a 5 on your scale of happiness, though it'd be a 10 to that starving family. Though not enough people know what true happiness or suffering is. And you won't know one until you've felt them both at their peak.
People take happiness for granted, happiness doesn't just come to you, you have to make it happen. On the other hand, when someone is depressed and they don't want to cheer up, maybe it is because they are fine with being depressed, maybe they don't want to be happy at that point in time. Maybe they just want to reflect on the situation for a while and give their full attention to it, so that next time, the same thing won't happen. Different situations require different time, like if someone just got broken up with, they might want to reflect on every aspect of that relationship to think of what went wrong, and what went right, so they know how to change their actions. And then some things could be quick, like getting a bad grade on a test, you then realize that you need to study more, and you'll be a little depressed for the rest of the day maybe.
When people's minds stray away from their suffering, they can be happy. Even tragic incidents in a person's life can be forgotten momentarily through any means of stimulation. And after a while, their pain slowly fades, no matter how bad it was.

Personally though, my belief of heaven and hell is all psychological, I do believe in God and Satan, along with other biblical elements. But having faith in your religion, subconsciously will allow you to create a perfect world when you die. It would basically be a dream. Even murderers, if they admit to themselves that they screwed up, they then think they are going to heaven. It's all based upon their interpretation of sinning.
When you are dreaming, you may be only asleep for a minute, but have a whole week span through during that dream. So when you die, in your last seconds, your mind subconsciously creates a perfect world for you, and you dream forever.

You mentioned about the different levels of happiness.

I mentioned that the same effect doesn't have to be the same thing. Like losing money. Say that's a -3 to someone. Maybe like going to an amusement park somewhere else is a +3 to someone.

That's exactly what I said.

You were trying to say that for every good thing that happens to someone, a bad thing happens to another person.
So technically a person could be happy all the time, but there is someone who is depressed the whole time. So basically, you contradicted yourself on one of your points since you said a person can not be happy or depressed the entire time.

Aforementioned, a person's happiness is based on what they want it to be, what they daily life is, and what past experiences they've had.

But if someone has a +10 happiness, and something really good happens somewhere else, it will lower their points. And the person with the -10 happiness will lower the +10's anyway. So it will still be evened out.

No one can be 100% happy all the time. Let's just keep it at that. D;

And like you said, someone's happiness is based on how they see it. Same goes for sadness. Someone could get shot somewhere, and affect families tremendously, but someone else could not care at all. And maybe someone else was glad that person died, and the happiness was leeching off the sadness that the family felt.

That first part sounds more like jealousy, and it's just a slight negative feeling that is only a temporary effect on the +10's happiness. But when they get over their jealousy, depending on their situation, they'll be back at +10, assuming that they incident isn't directly connected to them. Like if someone got their promotion or something along the lines of that.

But yes, you can't be happy 100% of the time. And you can't be happy until you have felt sadness, and vice-versa. Once you experience them both, you can compare them.
