For a long time, I've noticed a certain oddity in towns: Occasionally there will be no insects whatsoever, no matter where I go. Re-loading towns doesn't help, as it stays the same. And yet, I might come back a few hours later and there will be bugs everywhere. Like four or five of them on every map.

It's the same thing with gold. Sometimes I can shake every tree, shrub, and rock on every map I'm on and get absolutely nothing. And other times every single one will give me gold. All in the same, unpopulated area.

The reason I'm writing this is that I just saw a post on the Questions/Assistance forum mentioning the same issue, so I now know that it isn't just me. I don't know if this is a random glitch, if things take a while to "re-fill" after you've done them, or if there are certain times of the day that are just better for different things.

At any rate, I'm going to keep a log here of when I'm on Towns, and what I'm getting, just to see if there's a pattern.

1:20 - 1:40 PM (?): Lots of bugs, moderate amount of gold.

03/22/08
11:45 - 11:50 PM (Day): Very few bugs, moderate gold.

03/24/08
5:55 - 6:03 PM (Day): Few bugs, little gold.

3/25/08
12:21 - 12:30 PM (Day): Lots of bugs, lots of gold.
