Introduction-
What weights about 5 pounds, is furry, shy, and more critically endangered then you can imagine?
Thesis- The Channel Island Fox is one of the most critically endangered animals in the world, and it needs our help to protect itself against it's Golden Eagle Predator!

Body-
First Argument In Favor-
The Fox is critically endangered.
1. At one point, one of the island species had only 12 Foxes left in the entire world.
2. Since the invasion of the Golden Eagle, Fox Population has dropped 85%.
3. The Canine Distemper Disease has also devastated the Foxes population.

Second Argument In Favor-
They need much more help from us-
1. Funding for the project is very low.
2. Confusing and Tricky laws protect the Golden Eagle from being removed from the environment.
3. No one knows about the Fox- The word must be spread!.

First Argument Against.
1. The Golden Eagle is also an endangered species.
2. There are laws protecting the Eagle as well, why should the Fox be put above those?
Rebuttal-
1. Concession- Yes, I don't want to displace or kill the Eagles either- I'd only go to it as a last resort.
2 But unfortunately, Last Resort Methods are needed- The Foxes population is on the brink of extinction, if something is not done soon, we may lose this rare and wonderful species.

Second Argument Against-
1. The Golden Eagle deserves the area just as much as the Fox.
2. This is just the way nature works! We shouldn't interfere with it.
Rebuttal-
1. To be fair, the Fox was there first, and it is the Only environment in which the Fox can survive. The Eagle can go other places.
2. No, this -isn't- the way nature works. The Golden Eagles are only there because the Bald Eagle population on the island rapidly declined because of Human DDT, and they we're the only ones keeping the Eagle from invading the island.

Third Argument For Thesis-
1. This Species is one of the most wonderful breeds ever made- If to preserve it, we must get rid of the Eagles by some unethical means, then I think it must be done, for the preservation of this species.
2. Humans inevitably brought this havoc upon the Foxes indirectly, through use of DDT and other Pesticides, as well as bringing Foreign Diseases to the Islands by bringing Pets on trips.
