I want to know about my family history

I know I have an american indian relative I know she is my great great grand mother <I believe I in got her cheeks bones in stuff> I want to know her name

birth records of my great grandmother doesn't list mothers name..really? Come on, she didn't fall out of the sky. If a baby is born and you have on record the daddy's name, why wouldn't you have the momma? The kid fell out the momma didn't it? What it the mommas name? How can a birth record not include the momma? I can understand not having the dad but the momma had to have been known.

where do I go from here?

I plan to find out I want to know at least a name if not more
