Max's Musings
A place to discuss my various interests and observations.
How things change
Well, my plate is full at the moment. Got a new second job for fun. More details when I have them in writing.

It seems that Josh Lesnick pulled the plug on his rather dead Eternal Beach Party forum. I can't say that I blame him at all. No one outside of Floyd commented on my photos (though it would have been nice for Josh to say something, all things considered). So the links I've posted to the photos there are dead now.

As for my regular job, I've applied OS 10.4.2 Server to all the Xserv blades at work. Damn updater was magical. Where the hardware seemed bog slow before, it now screams like new. For the business we run on them, the new OS update was more than I dared hope for.

Yeah, I'm a bit burned over how Josh does things that involve other people at the moment. If you're readiing this Josh, please consider telling people who have had some involvement in a project like the old forum that you're going to do something like that. All it takes are a couple of words in an e-mail. Perhaps a thank you for service provided as well... evil

Anyway, I'm really glad to see that the improvements in OS 10.4.2 cary over to the server updater. My guess is that the code was really bloated from 10.4.0 through 10.4.1. Trimming the fat must have cleaned up a lot of issues.

I'm so happy with how my desktop and laptop are running now.
