Actually, the whole hunter himself seemed dirty and unkempt because he hadn't take a shower in three days.
When Gold-E-Locks' screams diminished, he ran even faster for fear he would be too late. Then, as he came to the break of the woods, he braced himself for whatever he may face.
What he saw when came out of the woods surprised him because you don't usually see a family of bears in these woods and then he noticed the big figure of one of the bears hovered over something lying on the floor. The bright gold caught his eye and, from where he was standing, could make out the outlines of a girls face.
The hunter then took his gun and aimed at the standing bear. "Sorry," he said and fired two shots. The big bear went down beside the girl but then the middle-sized bear looked at the hunter and became furious.
The bear charged the hunter and, as it did, the ground shook. The hunter stood his ground and replaced the bullets in his gun. The angry bear was almost upon him but he pulled the trigger and the bear suddenly went down and gave a whimper. The hunter walked by the bear and suddenly focused his eyes on the remaining bear. He picked up his gun and aimed at the helpless bear who stood confused at the entrance of the door. As his finger hovered over the trigger, the girl screamed, "No!"
