The bedroom resonated with the sound of a beautiful arrangement of Amazing Grace. The music's natural flow brought the chills farther and farther up her spine as she sat in bed, eyes closed, her face revealing a blissful smile. She swayed gently to the melody, content with the world and completely at peace where she was. The young man behind her simply watched, eyeing the smile on her face and the goosebumps on her arms as they crept slowly but surely upward. Slowly, his hand reached out to her, grazed the skin on her arm and letting her know he was still there, and always would be. Instinctively she leaned towards the touch, stopping only when her ear was pressed to his heart, listening to it pulse in time with the music. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her as close to him as he could, refusing to let go of the moment. As the song reached its pivotal point, the crescendo coupled with the almost antagonising ritardando, she opened her eyes and leaned back, looking serenely into his eyes. Closer and closer they got, each progression of notes pulling them together like a magnetic force. Finally, the music began to soften. A perfect ending to a beautiful song, in the most perfect of places; a kiss, at home, where the heart will always rest.
