Beneath Deformity there lies intelligence and a frustration at being unable to express it the way they want to.
Do you treat them like they can't understand you, or like they can't take care of themselves?
Do you avoid them because their features are seemingly hidious and you believe it to be somehow contagious?
Do you mak fun o them because they can't do what you can?
Beneath retardation is kindness, strength, and a genuine innocence.
Do you mock them because they can not think as clearly as you?
Do you pick on them because they are unable to understand what you are doing is mean and wrong so they keep coming back thinking you are their friend?
Do you avaiod them because they're different?
Beneath plainess, shyness, or just plain weird hyperness can lie a caring, loyal, and benevolent friend who'll stick with you and be true to you.
Do you avoid them because they are 'uncool'?
Do you pick on them because they are true to who they are?
Do you see them as less than you because their friends are all dweebs who have the same interests?
Do you feel jealous because they can be open with their friends without fear of retribution, judgement, hurtful words, or abandonment?
Beneath beauty and popularity there is usually someone who simply wants to be noticed and valued. Some one who wants to fit in and stand out at the same time.
Do you avoid them because you think their seemingly bad attitude is who they really are?
Do you scathe them because they don't understand that popularity is an empty image?
Do you hate them because of the steriotype on tv?
The choice of sexuality doesn't make the person. Just because the person likes the same sex doesn't make them anymore liable to rape you than a straight person.
Do you avoid them because your afraid they think your attractive?
Do you look at them with distaste because the bible mandates that you should?
Do you avoid them because you think their thoughts are as 'twisted' as their sexual preferences?
Do you mistrust white people because of what their anscestors were like?
Do you hate black people because their skin's different and they seem hostile?
Do you hate indians because of their suseptibility to drinking and their ansestors weren't always kind?
Do you mistrust hispanics because soem of them stay in gangs?
Do you hate asians because their language is different and the people they come from use sweat shops?
Does race really matter?
Beautiful, Ugly, perfect, or blemished, all people have something deeper.
There is some reason to their madness,
But people only see the surface, the steriotype, they strive to look within.
Every time someone avoids looking deeper they could be missing out on somethiong great.
A loyal Friend, or a special and unique out look and personality that can refresh you and renew your outlook on life.
I dare you,
take a chance and reach out to those you'd normally reject.
You might regret it, but you might not.
Like an old fashioned assorted box of chocolate,
You never know what the next thing is until you take a bite.
Another important word of advice, just because one person fits the steriotype, doesn't mean everyone put in that group is like that.
