Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre is one of the few books on my reading list I have been able to enjoy from the very beginning.
It begins telling the tale of Jane's childhood. I'm not sure if it was just the night air or if I'm too emotional, but I was crying lightly by page 20.
The novel, thus far has gotten up to her teenage years when she is considered an adult.
It seems there is much more to this story then I anticipated.
