So, we we're learning about acids and bases in chem. Working on finding out the Ph for certain things, ya know. So, we have this beaker containing about 10mL of HCl.
Well, there are these annoying guys at the lab table next to ours, and they're harassing the other girl in my group. I'm sitting there, writing down the Ph for a bunch of things (bleach, dish soap, cranberry juice, vinegar, etc.), and these guys start acting up. One of them grabs Susana's arm and twists it behind her back, and she's trying to push him off. Now, while she's trying to fight him, the guys hits the beaker with the HCl...
I just leap outta my chair, and the stuff spills right where my arm was. I stare at it for a second, then look at the idiot guy, whose name is Luis. Susana is yelling at him to let go, and I just grab his shoulder and dig my fingers in hard. He lets her go, looks at me,, and I shove him. He stumbles back a bit, and I point at the HCl spill on the table.
"Do you see that?" He looks over at it, then back at me. "Know what it is? It's HCl. To simplify it for your Stupid, it's hydrochloric acid. pH of one. Know what that means? It's a ******** strong acid."
He just shrugs. I snap, and grab my pencil.
"Do you ******** hear me?! Do you?! ******** HYDROCHLORIC ACID. THAT YOU ALMOST SPILLED ON ME." I have him by the shoulder again, the pencil aimed at his face. "ACID. Do you ******** UNDERSTAND?"
The guy just looks freaked out.
"Do you understand what would have happened if you spilled that on my arm?!"
He stares, still looking freaked out.
I'm crushing his shoulder again, and I shove him. "Go. Now. I can't stand you, you know. You're ******** annoying. Don't come back over here again."
