Chapter 2: New Home, New School
I went into my room and sent my suitcases down on the bed. I then looked to the left side of my room and I saw a bathroom "So awesome!" I thought to myself, then I looked to the right and there was a large window that lead you to a small deck. My mom used to live here with Uncle J, in till Grandma died.
"Aya, when your done unpacking I'll show you your new car." J shouted up the stairs. I got wide eyed and ran down the stairs almost falling down them but made it down in one piece. "Show me, Show me, Show me!" I begged. J looked at me with a grin, "Did you unpack yet, Aya?" I looked down and said softly, "No..." J chuckled, "Go unpack." "Ok..." I slowly walked back upstairs and muttered to myself, "Hope its not a truck or a Porsche." I walked back into my room and noticed my window was open. "Weird. I didn't open the window..." I felt scared but it was windy out and the window wasn't locked so it makes prefect sense, so I closed it and started unpacking my suitcases. I put my cloths into a dresser and my other things in a the desk where my computer was. i was surprised when I saw it when I first came into the room, cause I didn't think my uncle was the type to have a computer but I guessing since I was coming here to live with him, maybe he got one just for me. I smiled and finished putting everything away. After, I calmly walked downstairs, "Ok, I'm done." J laughed and walked out of the kitchen, "Ok, follow me." My uncle lead me out through the back door into the shed he had in the backyard. When he opened it, there sat a Baby Blue Jeep. "Wow J, I love it!" I gave him a smiled and then hugged him. He smiled and said "Your very welcome, Aya. By the way, you start school tomorrow."
My eyes widened. "What?" J laughed "Yup, just go to the office in the morning."
I sighed, "Fine." I walked back up stairs and looked at the time. It was 8pm. "Man, school. Wonder how thats gonna go." i yawned and laid down...
Morning
I must have been really tired, cause I had fallen asleep without even knowing it. It was 5am and I heard J moving around downstairs. I got up, put on some cloths that I would wear to school, grabbed my shoes and went downstairs.
"J?" I called out sleepily. "Aya! Your awake." I sat on the second to last step of the staircase and put on my shoes then yawned, "Yeah, I need to pack my school bag plus I need to get the keys from you." J smiled, "Did it already Aya school doesn't start till 8, anyway." i looked at the clock. It was 5:15 am. I sighed, "Well I'm up better, get the jeep out of the shed and into the drive way." J laughed again. "Did that too." He threw the keys to me and they landed in my lap. "Nice throw." I laughed. "Well I'm off. Get to school, Aya" "Ok J, I will." When he was gone, walked over and laid on the couch and fell asleep.
It was 6:50 am when I got up. I got up and went into my bathroom, brushed my hair and brushed my teeth. After, I walked downstairs, grabbed my backpack and was in my jeep faster then the speed of light. I was excited.
I drove to school. The streets were empty. Kind of scary, ya know?, but I manged. I pulled into the large parking lot. There was only one car there, A Black Mustang with a Red n Dark Red Flame along the sides of it. I started to worry when I saw it, but why let it bother me? I sat in the jeep and listened to the radio. Shadow of the Day by Linkin Park was playing on it. I then saw a boy run across campus. Who's That? I wondered to myself. I got a semi-good look of his face and blushed He....He's kinda cute I just started school here and I already had a crush on a boy I didn't even know. The boy then stopped and glared in my direction. At that moment, I jumped up a little but I couldn't stop looking at him like he had me in a lock.
He finally looked away and I turned the radio off then noticed it was 7:55 am. The first bell rang and then I finally noticed how many people were hurrying to class. I looked down at a paper that told me what classes I had to go to. Great Math... I thought seeing the first class I had was math. I grabbed my bag from the back and got out of the car then rushed to my assigned room. "Ah, you must be Aya?" the math teacher said when I walked into the classroom. Then at that moment, the last bell rang and the attention was on me now. I could feel all the eyes looking at me even though I wasn't looking at everyone. "Class, this is Aya. She'll be joining us this year, so make make her feel at home. Aya, your seat will be over there by Ali." When he said her name the girl looked up at me as I made my way to where I was assigned to sit. "Hi!" Ali said, as I sat in the desk next to hers. "Hi" I answered back trying, not to be rude. When I sat down, the boy I saw running earlier walked in the door. "Shadow, your always late! what's your deal?" "I got a note, chill." "Yeah, Yeah. Just sit." At my surprise, his desk was on the left of mine and Ali's was on my right. I started to blush but it wasn't noticeable. When I looked at the boy, he had an angry expression on his face and I got a little scared. "So..." Ali said. I then turned to give her my attention. "So... like it here, Aya?" "Yes, I do. Thank you." "Thats good." The conversation didn't last long because work was getting handed out. It must have only been 5 minutes before Shadow was already done but so was I, so I had nothing to say. I tired not to look at him the rest of the class hour. Then the bell rang an hour later and when I turned to look for him, he was gone already.
(I'm not gonna really be going through all the calls so yea)
It was Lunch and I noticed that boy was with three other people. A older girl, a girl that looked his age and then a boy a little older then him. Were they related? They looked it I sat with Ali and looked over at them most the time. Ali was strangely quite but I didn't mind.
The last bell of the day had rung and I was walking out to my car when a speeding car raced in my direction. I closed my eyes, then I opened them wondering why I had felt pain yet. Shadow, that boy had his hand on the hood of the car. Did he... did he stop the car? and why did me save me? I felt faint and I started to fall. He caught me before I did though. His skin felt so cold when he caught me then everything went numb and black.
"Aya? Aya?!", someone was calling my name but I wasn't to sure who it was. THen I realized it was Ali. "h... huh?" "Aya!" Ali hugged me "God, you ok?" "uhh, yeah I'm fine where's that boy?" "Who? Shadow?" Ali pulled him in front of me "Him?" Ali asked. "Yeah" Ali got in his face, "What you do to her!? Huh!? Huh!?" "I saved her, thank you very much! Now, get out of my face!" Ali lowered herself out of his face and keeled down to me. "Need me to drive you home?" "No, No. I'm fine" "Ok, I hope so. See you tomorrow." Ali walked away. Now it was only me and Shadow. I wanted to ask him how and why but my head was spinning then I felt my body falling over again "Oh no you don't!" Shadow caught me before I fell "I'll have Star take my car. I'm taking you home"
