Thousands of years ago, God created the universe, and along with it, all creatures that crowd the earth and sea. Along with these creatures, he invented a race of beings, created in the divine light of his kingdom. These beings were empowered with strength, and wisdom, and loyalty, but unlike Humans, they lacked an element they desired sorely. As a result, corruption spread in the heart of the kingdom. Light swiftly melted into darkness, and their hearts were filled with cruelty, and revenge. Those corrupted were cast into the depths of the Chasm by the Great One. Now, the Kingdom of Heaven, and those who dwell in the Chasm, are forever at war with one another, and thunder shakes the sky's of Earth. Humans have noticed, and the corrupt ones now seek an entrance back into heaven through the human hearts. Now the Forces of the Kingdom struggle against the Corrupted, attempting to preserve the Human race...

Dominic is an average man for the most part. Born and raised in the middle of New York, he now works at a large corporation in Washington. He makes good money, has good friends, and has a relatively clean slate...that is, until it comes to Becca.
Dominic and Becca were deeply in love over a period of about three years. They even had plans to get married up until last June. But when life tore them in opposite directions, the relationship followed suit. Now, strongly misguided passions lead to bitterness, and disdain towards eachother, and their relationship as friends is now hanging on a thread to say the least. Seperated from eachother, they thought they could escape the hurt, but Fate plays a shifty, ironic game. Dominic is hired into a new business, and they now work, not only in the same business, but in the same building. Becca has risen through the corporal ranks to become Supervising Manager, while Dominic is forced to work under her straining demands.
To say the least, Dominic is stressed. Too few would say they'd like to be in his shoes.

Strange things happen in the red deserts of Arizona. There have been numerous UFO sightings, and supposed Alien attacks on the locals. But urban legends harshly underestimate the true forces at work in the desert.
An underground organization, named the Organization Bloodwing, have taken up residence in a secret millitary facility, buried in the scarlet expanse. They've recently come upon a new project, one aptly named Project Archangel. A strange being shows up in the desert nearby, and when one of their recon squads take it back to HQ, they discover a new source of power, one never utalized before now; the discovery of Blood.
Of course, word of the project leaked to a small town in southern Arizona, and more specifically, into the ears of another large corporation. Their interests aren't quite as scientific as the Bloodwing org., but their passion for their mission is a powerful force to come up against. The Liberation Mission Force, believes strongly that the forces of nature shouldn't be tampered with; that the holding of this strange being is a despicable display of man's selfish endeavers. They work diligently to capture the being themselves, in hopes of releasing it back to where it came from. Mission after mission has been a failure, and it hasn't gotten easier.
One agent came close...

Becca has been acting strangely lately. The personal attacks have ebbed, and something in her eye's tells Dominic that she's hiding something. But suspicion is truely aroused when she walked into work one day with a large scar on her forearm. The scar is only mildly treated, and acts as if it may bleed if brushed by a feather. Dominic is both curious, and strangely concerned about the origins of the strange wound, but when he confronts her about it, he recieves something he never expected from the woman he used to love; An invitation.
Three weeks later Dominic finds himself being transported to Southern Arizona. He arrives at the complex of the L.M.F. and is quickly taught all the necessary protocol and procedures for everything from handling equipment to breathing. He follows a beautiful, pert woman to a dream office, large and ornate, and is given, at that moment, a choice.
He wakes up in his bedroom, back in washington. The question still lingers in his mind, and he realizes that he doesn't remember traveling back to washington. In fact he barely remembers Arizona. But the leader of that organization...something in her eye's. How could he refuse. The passion, the selfless act of preservation, the pure compassion for another creature, all embodied in one look. When he looks in his mirror, his hand finds the button she told him about. Instantly, the walls fall away, and he finds himself in the complex. He's made the choice.
Face to face with Becca, he discovers a similar journey reiterated in her own story. Apparently she's been involved in the organization for many years, and he never knew about it. There were still feelings of scorn and bitterness, but they weren't the same. Their relationship had changed. Especially when she told him of her escape from the Bloodwing hideout with an incredible discovery. She'd met the being. She'd looked into it's eye's, and she learned something. She wouldn't share what she'd learned, but it was obviously life-changing, for she wasn't the same woman.
Now they both face another decision, another fate-lead choice. Their mission is to free the being from captivity, and retrieve it's stolen blood. Once they do that, they'll be revered as heroes on Earth, and in Heaven...or so they believe.

Blood is the essence of life. It is there at the making of any living thing, and is there at the end. Blood is a binding tool, a powerful substance. In the Beings of the Kingdom, even, blood is more than that; It's a life force, though instead of merely living, it gives life. It gives power. In contast, within the hearts of the Corrupt, blood is the anti-life; It takes away from not only a life, but from the roots of a soul. When spilt, from either Being or Corrupt, the release is mourned for.
When it is stolen, the heavens rage...
