I bet anyone still keeping up with my journal will be surprised to find this entry here. Especially for the title. "Retirement," huh? What could I possible mean by that?

I'll tell you what's happened. On fanfiction.net, I have created my own forums, and it's proving to be difficult to manage. For my work, the management is completely screwing up scheduling, and is forcing me to pull extra hours I don't want to pull. For school, it's the last grading period of my senior year, which means that everything counts twice as much - I consider it to, anyway, with how important it is. All this, and more, mean that Gaia is on a low-priority for me.

This is not the first time for me to be absent from this site. Nor do I think it'll be the last, because I do plan on finding the thing that had me love this site several years ago. However, for the time between now and then, I'll be on a Gaia hiatus...a "retirement," if you will.

Until I can get my life in an order that's not quite so frustrating, I don't plan on checking back on the site at all. I have the toolbar, and from time to time, I'll open that - but actual site-browsing will be beyond me.

To my friends who see this, I do apologise, but life is far more demanding for me. Yes, that even includes fanfiction - even I can't believe how much my writing has improved since starting The Truth is Painful, and I plan on improving even more. Once things have slowed down, which may be a month from now, give or take, I'll post another entry announcing the new current stuff.
