Last weekend (may 24-26) niota and I went to the Saboten con. We volunteered on Sunday, so we got to go in for free the whole weekend. The best part was, the con was only 5 minutes away from our house. We saw a lot of panels, most of which were re-hashes of a lot of beginner information. The people who ran the panel were really interesting. There were a lot of cosplayers. The best ones were;

- The Heartless (from kingdom hearts)
It was also amazing because it was like the person was wearing a black leotard. You have to be in shape and comfortable with yourself to wear something like that. 0_o; it was also cool because they were always in character. The best part was when a kairi was walking down the hallway, and they both went into a fighting stance. It was awesome.

- The nurse [[ from silent hill
It was really creepy because her costume looked realistic even up close. She even walked the same. It was very creepy, and we got to see her stalk a victim in the hallway.

- Ryuk ##^ (from death note
I don't care if I spelled his name right. But he had the same posture, and even twisted up when people showed up with apples. It was cool. I was surprised to see the person's actual face on the last day of the con. haha.

- Kairi ((* from kingdom hearts
There was one Kairi there, and she even had a keyblade (I don't remember the name). Her custome was really good.

- Yuna (gunner form ---
There were a lot of Yunas at the con. There were three gunners, a songstress, and the original summoner yuna. However, the one who had the best costume was a boy. There was so much detail, and even the gun props looked well-made. The only awkard part was the fact that he didn't have breasts to properly fill out the front. But who caares, right?

Other mentionable characters:
Demyx (times 2), Marluxia, Roxas, Sora x 2, Sakura (from card captors), Chi, Vincent from FF 7, a million narutos, 2 L(s) from Death Note, Light from Death Note, random kitty people, a million sailor senshi for the MiniSkirt Army, Fai and Kurogane from Tsubasa, clouds...

but no axel.

our booty:

- makona hat
- coon tail
- pocky
....strawbery&chocolate
- ramune
....strawberry flavored. the marble was cool
- coffee in a can

There were a lot of scrolls, manga, etc. but none that caught our interest. That, and there really wasn't a rush to do so since there's an anime shop 2 minutes away from our home. hehe.

Overall, it was pretty good. there were some dark patches, and one panel that we waited 2 hours for was canceled, and we missed the smash bros tournament. other than that... pretty good. >_<''

it was somewhat disappointing besides the comic-inspiring panels, which told me the same things I already knew. It was interesting to see manga studio...
