"Hey Chiharu! Canaidea! Check this out!" Hari called from her room. After our incident at the spa, we returned to the house to at least try to relax. It was late, and I already had Bah Boh's jar wrapped with blankets, DiSpo snuggled into a small dog bed, and Moshimaru was floating above me as I headed towards the sound of Hari's voice. Can had Bian sitting in her lap, and Hari was finishing building a makeshift bed for the egg and Cola.
"Hari-chan? Um, where are the bat thingies?" I asked her quietly.
"Oh? Those things? They're right here!"
Hari flung open the doors to her walk in closet, dove into a pile of clothes and emerged with the bats in a bird cage.
"What are they doing there?"
"Well, Can thought they would ruin her room, and you already have a bunch so..."
"It's my job Hari! I'm supposed to have alot because that's what I'm payed for!"
"Chi," Can said gently. "I get your point. Thanks Hari for caring about us, but they were delivered for us. We'll take care of it from here. Besides, you don't want your little egg eaten, do you?"
"Yeah, I see your point. I guess..."
*SCREEEECH!!!*
"WHA!"
"Can, what was that?"
"Aw cr..."
*SCREEEECH!!!*
"My room, NOW!"
We reached for our creatures, then burst through the door into the hallway.
"That way!" I shouted, pointing towards my room.
*FWOOOM*

"Everyone all right?"
"Sure, everyone's all right...what?" I glanced down to find that the bat had escaped and was now...hugging me?
"Can? Is yours?"
"Yes, mine is ... hugging me too..."
"Maybe they didn't want to hurt us after all..." Hari finished for us.
"We've got to find out what that noise was. For now, get settled safely in here. My closet has a hidden room, see right here? Open...good, now everyone in!" I ushered Can and Hari into it, then handed them their evolving creatures.
"Hide mine too, please." I picked up DiSpo's little bed, placed a blanket covered Bah Boh in it, then handed it to Can.
"Moshi!"
I stretched up to grasp him, then pulled him down closer to me.
"Here, I'll go. If I need to get it in, I'll knock like this: three knocks, then one slap. 'Kay?"
They nodded then finished putting the creatures in the hidden room.
"Alright let's go." Can declared.
"Huh?" I looked at the two of them then sighed.
"You can't be the only one leading this shrine around. Besides, I'm not taking kendo just so that I can say that I do." Can went to the far side of the hidden room and searched under the bed. She came up with a kendo sword. Hari nodded at her, and stretched in front of me.
"And I know many more stances than you do Chi. I'm a bigger help than you think."
She smiled at me and then nodded, closing the door behind her.
I nodded at them both and grabbed the long wooden pole that stayed unseen behind my hanging clothes.
"Anything else before we go?" I asked them both.
"Two," Can answered. "One, I don't want whatevers out there to get ahold of my items of the month, and two, are they going with us?"
She motioned towards the bats, which had learned where a form of Alruna's rose.
"Rune!" My bat circled towards me then landed on my head.
"Runa!" Can's settled on her shoulder.
"You guys ready for a fight?" I challenged them.
They both smirked then bolted for the door, ready to get out.
"One, two, three!"

Chiharu's Life: Raising Evolving Items, but, they're my family...
It's my job, but I love every part of it...except some parts. You see, working with evolving creatures is fun, but can be dangerous. But who cares about that? All I know is that there are adventures out there and we're going to have them!
