On a forgotten shore by a tired sea
stands a time ruined monument to a fearless god.
His vanishing mouth speaks unspeakable things,
but like autumn leaves they fall unheard.
His infinite wisdom lies scattered like dead fall
blown by a directionless wind.
His cold stone eyes stare blankly at the horizon
seeing all at once everything
and nothing.
I know not the purpose of his silent vigil,
only that he waits for something
that will never come.
Sometimes in dream, I journey to this place
to share in his pain and cry for his loss.
I awake remembering nothing...
Feeling nothing....
Just a vague sensation I have just seen...
my soul..
