Okay! So these past four days were spent in Washington. Not exactly a vacation, but a school trip. It was pretty fun... so I decided to put up a journal entry, putting up my favorite pictures and explaining it.
So first... I think I should introduce my friends. I won't put my picture up, because.. I don't feel like it? :3
Michelle was my roommate.. and is my best friend. :3 Too bad this was the best picture I could get of her- she was really tired. Taken at the Holocaust Museum.
Next is Jascha, or known on Gaia as Yascha. Yes, it is pronounced the same way. Taken on the bus ride there.
Colin is next... Only picture I could get of him smiling. So even though it's kinda blurry, I decided to choose this one. It was taken on the bus trip down.
Kevin. I was finally able to take a picture of him on the last day. xD He kept dodging out of the way every other time I even raised the camera. Taken on the bus ride back home~
Maraaa! >w< I love this picture. She never smiles like this- it looks so good on her, though. Known on Gaia as lonelymara14. Taken on the bus ride down.
Next is Maddy. I felt that this was the best picture I could get... taken on the bus ride down.
Aly. biggrin She's awesome.. and looked great in the sunglasses. Taken on the bus ride down.
And this final picture I felt I should include, since it was my only picture with Anna in it. She managed to avoid any others. *grumbles* Taken in the Holocaust Museum.
From left to right: Mara, Maddy, Aly, Anna.
And onto the trip. We started on the bus ride.. obviously. It took about 9, 10 hours. @_@ Michelle managed to take an awesome picture of the scenery. Meanwhile when I tried, trees went in the way just as soon as I steadied the camera... and when I had a great picture, no trees in sight... A truck went right in front as soon as I took the picture. xD I don't think the view liked me taking pictures.
We first went to the zoo... obviously saw animals.
Emu!
Panda~
Elephant.
Those are only some. >>; Didn't feel like uploading the rest.
Then we went to the Air force Memorial. My favorite picture taken throughout the whole trip came from here;
And then the rest of it...
We then went to the Iwo Jima Memorial. Second favorite picture.
Then the Korean War Memorial...
And a closeup of the wall. Computer-etched images.
Then the Lincoln Memorial.
View from it...
I felt so proud when I found it.
Then we went to the Vietnam Memorial. It was almost completely silent. o_o
We found a bunch of names with crosses next to them. Apparently, those people were ones who were never found.
Next day, we went to the Museum... forgot what it was called. Michelle and I first went to the animal exhibit, where we found these- Cute.
Then we went to the Hope Diamond.
After that, we went to the Holocaust Museum- I was too distracted by the whole thing to take any pictures. Well, I took one... but that was after everything. Honestly, if you ever go to Washington D.C., go here. It was amazing.
The one picture I took;
The writing on top says,
'Only guard yourself and guard your soul carefully, lest you forget the things your eyes saw, and lest these things depart your heart all the days of your life. And you shall make them known to your children, and to your children's children.'
The writing on the bottom says,
'Here lies Earth gathered from death camps, concentration camps, sites of mass execution, and ghettos in Nazi-occupied Europe. And from cemeteries of American soldiers who fought and died to defeat Nazi Germany.'
Then we went to the Mall... Yes, Jascha. I put them up just for you. BE GRATEFUL. >w>
Guess who's who's. biggrin
We then went to the National Air and Space museum. I forgot my bag, with my camera inside, so I didn't get any pictures there... But it was fun. Maddy, Michelle and I went to the Planiterium and saw a documentary on black holes. It was... well, interesting.
At night we went to the White House... The best picture I could get. It's pretty crappy, though.
Then, the next day, we went around site seeing... First we went to the Capitol Building; not in it, though.
Then we went to the Library of Congress.
Then we went to the Art museum, but only for lunch. Didn't get any pictures there, either... and then... well, we went home.
The tedious, 9 hour bus ride home... >> Credit to Jascha and Kevin for keeping me entertained with randomness and card games.

Stuff.
Like the title says, stuff. xD It mostly consists of art and evolving pets, though.
