It seems that I am currently stuck in one those moments of weakness where the world seems to fade into shades of grey. The all too classic scene where all seems lost and you are swallowed by a lonelyness so incredibly powerful that you feel you will never see the world and its beauty again.

You want someone to tell you everything will be alright but there is only one who's words would sooth but they are unaware of your plight. You're driven mad by a cold dagger in your heart. Anger consumes, developing into sorrow and pride forces you back onto your feet so that others will not suffer due to your own foolishness. Tears threaten to escape but you don't want anyone to see. Your heart is breaking but your smile stays frim. The only thing that betrays you is your eyes. They're always hinting, whispering the truth to any who look for them.

Suddenly the smile becomes empty underneath the truth of the eyes. All that remains is a deep pain, burried within. The body becomes a mask that hides the twisted soul you've become.

And yet something else keeps you standing. Pride may have lifted you to your feet but something else keeps you connected to the outside. You want to lay down and rest but there is a small voice that says you are unfinished. You know this voice speak the truth. It knows as well as you that you cannot rest now.
The greatest thing...
A name?...yes this voice has a name, doesn't it. You're sure of it. But what? It is so familiar, you can feel it on the tip of your tongue.
...you'll ever learn...
Hope? No...Hope is a friend to this name but this name...this name is something you are unsure of. You've heard it before but have never come into contact with it.
...Is just to...
Of course! A familiar warmth embraces you shortly. The colors smile again just for a moment.

And...just as quickly as this comfort finds you. It disappates into the air, leaving you, once again, lost in a cold world of grey. For the first time, you feel a tear fall down your cheek when no one is watching.

You finally remember the name but such a name cannot be spoken yet. As much as you wish to say it outloud, you feel that you would insult the name if spoken now. You are not yet worthy of its power. If you spoke it now, its power would fade and the name will be lost forever.
..and...
Your feet drag onward into the cold world of grey that has been set before you. You can't look back...you can't look up. You know the name will whisper to you again when you can look up. The next time the voice speaks to you, it will not whisper but speak in a clear tone, welcoming you back to the warmth and smiling colors.
...be loved...
Until then, you will walk into the unknown.

Your pride will help push you along.

Your hope will be there to catch you when your pride fails.

Friends will give you an extra push when everything is crushed beneat you.

But the voice...the voice will tell you when you are finished.

I saw everything! It happened when I heard a strange song!

A song? What did it sound like?

I can't remember...it was trying to tell me something but it couldn't finish...
