1. Please describe your most happy memory to its entirety. (If your most happy memory is too private, use the second happiest memory.)

Oh… Well the happiest one is quite private so I’ll go for the second happiest one… I’d say when I’m verbally sparring with my best friends. It’s hilarious the things we come up with just to spite each other! (Shasta often threatens to shove my face up my brother’s a** to see all the glories hidden there… 0_o). She’s such a crack up I immediately feel better just thinking of the many, many random crap we talk about…

2. What is your favourite Element and why?

I like water. It’s malleable, flexible and interchangeable. It can become vapour, solid ice and a liquid. So many uses for it and essential to life (3 days without it and you die… I came pretty close…), I like how it can flow to wherever it wants and take the shape of its container. It’s adaptable to any environment, transparent and odourless. It mixes well with most of the other things (like coffee and milk… yum).
It is also a symbol for troubles and sadness (rain) but I like the fact that combined with the sun, it can create beautiful things such as a rainbow. Water also acts as a refresher for heated, intense moments (especially when friends argue. Chuck them a bucket of water and they go down like that! *snaps fingers*).

3. Who is the closest person to you and why?

That’s hard because I only let a certain number of people to get close to me, and they’re all pretty even in terms of closeness, but I guess I’d say Shasta, one of my best friends. Why? We’re still trying to figure that one out! Conversation just seemed to flow, and I don’t know how we got into the personal stuff but one day I just found myself telling her things I’d never tell anybody. I can be myself with her (which would probably be the reason why I get called crackpot, porn-sniffer, egg, gare, igge… etc…) and we leaned on each other when it came to problems, break-ups and hell-weeks in school. I don’t think we’ve ever really fought… Like seriously fought (we fight all the time but that’s just for kicks…) over anything. I could write a whole book about us, but I think this should be enough… ^_^

4. What is your favourite animal and why?

I don’t have a favourite animal… (I’ve never really thought about this until now…) But I’d say I’m most fascinated by Chameleons. Contrary to popular opinion, they don’t change their color to match their surroundings (their natural color has taken care of that) but more to show their mood or emotion. Sometimes when they soak in the sun, the side hit with more sunrays turns into brown because of the light, but the other side stays intact.

I love their skin because they capture a color of light depending on how they’re feeling. (I could turn black if I’m in shitty mood and bright yellow when I’m happy!). They are quite susceptible to stress (kind of like me in a way…) so they change colors to show that, but they also change it to attract a mate. I like the fact that they can be so adaptable and so malleable with what they want to be.

“Show me your true colors!” (doesn’t have anything to do with it, but I thought it was appropriate!)

5. What one action describes you best and why?

Action… o_O Um… Knowing and expressing. I can’t have knowledge and just shut up. It’s one of those things that go together no matter what. I remember one time I explained the whole Trojan War to somebody who loathed History and loved it. I guess story telling is one of my gifts, and I can rant on and on, and on… I have to know stuff and tell it to somebody, or draw it, or write it; it’s like second nature to me.

6. If you were a student at Hogwarts, what class would you rush to for a seat in the front row?

Well most subjects, but Transfiguration and Charms would be the best. I like Professor McGonagall and the way she teaches (wouldn’t mind Dumbledore teaching it though… he’d be the most awesome teacher ever!!). I kind of like the subjects more because of the people who teach them rather than the actual stuff that we learn, although with Transfiguration it’s kind of like a double treat. The fact that you can turn something into something else with a flick and a word fascinates me. I wouldn’t mind a 17 inch essay on the theory because I excel in essays, but the practical stuff is just awesome! Same goes for Charms. I find Professor Flitwick hilarious and jinxing my brothers would be so much easier! ^_^

7. If you were a student at Hogwarts, what class would you lag to for a seat in the back of the class?

Either Divination or Arithmancy. I’d be interested in it for the mythology and all the history involved with it, or the fact that some prophecies do actually come true, but I wouldn’t really be keen to come to it or anything. I’d sympathize with Prof. Trelawney, but I’d really prefer a centaur to teach me these things!

Arithmancy would be a bit… uh, well let’s just say I’m not good with numbers or logic (logic is something I lost on one of my crackpotting trips). I can do algebra, calculus and stats if I HAD to (I’m not a complete idiot in Math), but I wouldn’t be gushing about it or anything.

8. What is your greatest fear and why?

Fear of being separated from everyone else. I mean I’m independent and I can be on my own for quite a while (just give me a computer and you can scoot), but I guess it’s more of being helpless, without anything or anyone to actually hold on to. It’s more of my loved ones leaving me or me being separated from them emotionally rather than not being with them physically. I hate it when relationships break apart because of distance; I absolutely, painfully hate it.

9. What is your western zodiac? (Pisces, Libra, etc) Do you think that it pertains to you? Why or why not?

Aquarius, the water bearer (at first I thought it was a water sign… but I have been proven wrong since it is apparently an air sign…). So far it does pertain to my character.

Quote:
“…are strong willed and forceful in their different ways and have strong convictions, though as they seek truth above all things, they are usually honest enough to change their opinions, however firmly held, if evidence comes to light which persuades them that they have been mistaken. They have a breadth of vision that brings diverse factors into a whole, and can see both sides of an argument without shilly-shallying as to which side to take. Consequently they are unprejudiced and tolerant of other points of view. This is because they can see the validity of the argument, even if they do not accept it themselves. They are nearly always intelligent, concise, clear and logical”

LIKES: Fighting for Causes, Dreaming and Planning for the Future, Thinking of the Past, Good Companions, Having Fun

DISLIKES: Full of Air Promises, Excessive Loneliness, the Ordinary, Imitations

That is basically ME. It is EXACTLY what I am. I absolutely, painfully, physically HATE limitations. That’s why I dream of the future and think of the past because I love seeing the possibilities.

10. What is your eastern zodiac? (Rat, Dragon, etc) Do you think that it pertains to you? Why or why not?

I am a Horse. Hmmm… (I’m answering this after I’ve gone and found out which sign I am…) Although it says 1990 in the year, and I’m born in 1991, I just realized that the Chinese New Year is actually in February, not in January…

Anyway. According to the description, I apparently like to be with crowds (concerts, theatres, meetings, parties… etc.) and I do, so long as I have friends with me. I wouldn’t go to a party where I don’t know anybody, unless I HAD to.

Quote:
“ The horse is very quick-witted and is right in there with you before you have had the chance to finish what you are saying: he's on to the thought in your mind even before you've expressed it. In general, the Horse is gifted.”

I’m not too sure about that but I do like to think of myself as quick-witted or gifted (so far nobody’s told me my drawings are crap…).

Quote:
“When they fall in love, Horses seem to lose all logic, all sense of perspective. Unpredictable at the best of times, when they lose their hearts, there is simply no telling what the Horse-born will do next. These people possess an extremely low boredom threshold and soon get tired of the same people and the same situations. They love their independence and, as soon as they feel a partner is making too many demands or limiting their freedom, they will rebel and gallop off in search of new pastures.”

That’s all true man, especially when it’s combined with my Aquarius sign. Well I am loyal to the person and I do devote myself to them completely, but I really do like my freedom. I wouldn’t rebel off as easily as it says there but I would be quite uncomfortable.

Quote:
“Horse is a creature of changing moods he's liable to lose interest suddenly in things he's taken up, whether it's a love affair, a single deal in business, or a whole career.”

Oh so very true. But not THAT flighty… On my Guild Application, I said one of my faults is being inconsistent, and this is basically what defines it, but I do have a sense of loyalty and I wouldn’t leave something just because it’s boring. I’d lose interest but I’d still do it anyway if I HAVE to.

11. What is your greatest success?

Greatest? I don’t really know… some people might count something I don’t really think is that “great” as amazing… But I guess getting an Excellence for my English exams would come pretty close. It was 3 hours of painful and agonizing essay writing. 3 essays, all of them at around 1600+ words each, with quotes, 6 paragraphs and an insight on the book/movie/poems with a comparison to real life issues. I had been failing all three essays for the whole year, both in the practice and mock exams (I live in NZ…) and English isn’t my first language (although I’m better at it than my own mother tongue, which is quite bad…) so I’d consider that an accomplishment.

12. What is your greatest failure?

Ehem, that’s private too… ^_^ Oh well I guess I could say stuff here… Um, the fact that I’ve disappointed my parents. It’s one of the things I’ve failed at. They’ve been really proud of me and expected a lot but I never really lived up to how much they really expected.

13. What is your worst regret?

Umm, well it’s tied with my happiest memory (how ironic) so it’s quite private… I guess I could give a vague description. What I regret the most is letting go so easily. I could’ve done so much more and there were so many things I could’ve have said but I didn’t. I shut up and conformed. I didn’t see what the real problem was and just assumed he was telling me the truth, and so I left and ran away (almost literally since I really had to go that time).

14. How important is relaxation to you and why?

VERY important. No matter what I do, I HAVE to relax at some point. I might not be able to relax in a whole week, but I’d make sure that I wouldn’t be that stressed on the next one. It’s something that if I didn’t do, I wouldn’t be able to cope up with all the things I have to do every week (3 councils, house chores, tutoring, work, church, Philippine Independence Day and school…). Relaxation could just be staring at the ceiling or reading, drawing or listening to music, watching vids/tv… I HAVE to have my dose of internet…

15. How big of a role does athleticism play in your life and why?

Hehehe… Um, I’m really lazy so I don’t do much exercise unless I HAVE to. You wouldn’t see me on a gym working my a** off but I can hold my own if you make me run or play sports like basketball and stuff. I had asthma when I was a kid but I still tried to run as much as possible (with a puffer in tow… XD) but I play soccer and stuff when I can. I guess it’s not something major in my life, but I do try to keep myself in form.

16. Say we could survive without the following except in the case of the last choice. Which mass extinction would sadden you the most and why? Insects, amphibians, reptiles, animals, mammals (besides humans!) and humans.

Any of those would sadden me because of the fact we didn’t do enough to make them survive, which all would be pretty much our own fault but if you need an answer… Mammals I guess. Something about furry animals just makes me think of a cute fluffy puppy. I really don’t have an affinity for insects, amphibians or reptiles (cold-blooded animals just don’t appeal to me…) although I do respect their role in this world. I just think I’d be more sad if there were no cute kittens or llamas walking around somewhere in the planet.

17. What would be your ideal pet and why?

I guess a pet that could be independent but that would need me as well. Not just for feeding him of course but my company and care, but not too much to the point of clingyness because I wouldn’t have enough time for him. They’d have to be able to entertain themselves for long periods of time and be loyal of course. I’d let them run/fly off so long as they come back.

I’d like them to have a furry coat, and maybe a tail. I don’t want to say dog or cat or anything because I’d actually take any mammal, magical creature and even Pokemon so long as it’s not a skunk and doesn’t eat me. The idea of having a pet tiger or wolf would be awesome! So long as I manage to tame it of course. And if it existed, I’d love a furry little thing that’s fast, can fly (or float, whichever) and breathe fire, sharp claws and teeth for defence purposes, and finally: cute. If only…

18. Do you think animals have souls? Why or why not?

Hmmm… Just before we left the country, our dog was very, very, very depressed. Seriously. I’d never really stopped to think about it, but when I went over to play with him, he wouldn’t get up, like his head was glued to the floor. He only got up when I stopped trying to bait him with the sandal and put his head on my lap. It made me realize animals have the capability to feel, that they weren’t just savage and acted on instinct. Maybe they don’t talk like us but they do feel, so yes they have souls.

19. Do you eat meat? What is your stance on veganism? Vegetarianism?

Yeah I do. I think Veganism and Vegetarianism are okay, I mean to each his own, but if you wanted me to be vegan or vegetarian, I don’t think I’d be able to do it! It’s more like how I was brought up rather than me loving meat. I could go on without eating any meat or fish for days but I don’t eat enough vegetables to keep myself alive! (Although I think I should…)

20. Does man have domain over animals?

All of humanity? Hmm, if the animal kingdom lets him have domain, yeah… I don’t think we’re “superior” to animals. We’re just different. I mean, if there weren’t any humans in the world, Planet Earth wouldn’t have pollution, suffering and all that crap. It might be bordering in sadism but sometimes I wonder if this planet would be better off without people in it…
