Naruto Story
(This is a naruto fanfic I'm starting up. It take place in the time 2 years before the Ktuubi comes around. Enjoy, although it's ungodly boring right now! blaugh )

Onaji and Xan walked along a narrow path through the forest, chatting along the way. They were on their way to the training ground to meet their friend. Although today was Sunday, the three had decided to hang out and practice their skills instead of resting. Besides, the only way the three of them could really hang out without feeling awkward together was when they were training. That was one of the side effects of being on a team, they supposed.

“Do you think Mexia will be there when we arrive?” Onaji asked casually, hands stuffed in his pockets as he walked and grey eyes closed. His front right bangs were bandaged tight in a sort of pony tail as always, while the rest of his golden hair was cut relatively short. Although it was warm out, he wore his customary navy scarf around his neck (untied, but there all the same). He had a tight fishnet tee under the scarf and regular brown ninja pants on that went slightly below the knee. He wore the same cliché blue sandals as most of the other ninja. His ninja headband was on his forehead, as most of the others too. Overall, he looked pretty plain.

“What do you think? If there’s one thing you can count on from Mexia, it’s being on time.” Xan sort of snapped. Whenever Onaji was around, he felt snappy for some reason. Xan was also dressed pretty plain. His hair was black and spiked to his left. Onaji always said it made him look funny, but he didn’t pay attention to Onaji. His eyes were bright green, like the leaves of their home country. The shirt he wore was pretty baggy and of a cream color. It was fastened down the front with rectangular patches and had a baggy neck color that reminded him greatly of Onaji’s accursed scarf, sadly. His pants were the same as Onaji’s but a bit lower and of black coloring. Also, his lower legs were bandaged, along with his arms. His sandals were black, along with his forehead protector, which was located on his upper left arm. He was the only left-handed person in the team.

Onaji smiled, ignoring Xan’s tone of voice. “Yeah, you’re right. I just hope she wasn’t waiting too long. We should hurry!” Without another word, he started running off toward the training grounds, not even looking back to see if Xan was following.

Xan sighed before following Onaji, catching up in no time.

Mexia ran at the training log, sending a powerful kick into the middle of it. Some of the wood splintered, but it remained pretty much intact. She breathed heavily, brown curly hair in her blue eyes. “Jeez, I’ve been practicing for an hour already! Where could those slowpokes be?” she wondered aloud, gazing to look at the bright blue sky. It was a beautiful day out, but she thought that the sun could tone down the heat a little. She was sweating a lot in her clothes. She wore a sort of oriental style sky blue shirt with white sleeves, which zipped up the middle. At the bottom of the shirt were tiny pink sakura petal patterns. Underneath the shirt she wore a fishnet tee, which poke out a little under the sleeves and under the bottom. Her pants were the same length as Onaji’s, and the same color. Her sandals were black like Xan’s. Overall, her outfit wasn’t quite as boring as the other two’s. One thing really off about her was that she never seemed to wear her ninja headband. It wasn’t that she wasn’t loyal to her country; she simply did not like wearing it. When she did wear it (that is, when sensei made her), she wore it on her leg.

Mexia decided to take a short break, using the time to put her hair up. It was pretty long and went almost all the way down to her waist. ‘Perhaps I shouldn’t even have bothered coming early. Those two aren’t the best fighters, but they still surpass me even though I train a lot more than them! I’m such a loser…’ she thought sadly. Her teacher trained with her whenever she could, but it still didn’t help much. She just wasn’t a good fighter. She had all around bad skills: she was bad with chakra control and her physical strength wasn’t the best either. The only thing she really had going for her was her smarts. She had to admit, she was a lot smarter than either of her two teammates. That made her feel a little better at least. Right as she was done putting her hair up, she sensed two people coming toward her at a fast pace.
