Daddy,
I want to tell you what you mean to me.
In a silly poem.
I will make it tonite..and you will look back on it..when your old.
And I will smile, and say remember when.
And you will think of how it was..when I was young.
I was born on April 17th, and thats when you became my dad.
Thats when I cried, and not because I was sad.
I cried because you became a father, and a great one.
You've been the man, I said I would marry, and still wish I could.
It would make my life so easy.
I remember when I was in the hospital, you told me to be strong.
You said it wouldnt hurt, and mom said it would.
I beleived you, and thats why I did it. I knew it would, but you said no.
I remember when I was in horsebackriding...and you jumped the fence because you thought I was gunna fall.
I was the only kid, who's dad was crazy then.
I remember when I was sick, at three in the morning, you gave me a bath..and watched me to make sure I didnt fall asleep.
I remember..when you left, and I wasnt home.
I remember..nobody beleived me, that something was wrong.
I remember those nights..I said goodnight to an empty couch.
I remember when I picked the video game up, and blamed myself for not playing it with you, when you asked the day before I left...to go with grandpa tom.
I remember...a lot...of sad..
I remember going snowmobiling, and swimming, and biking, and smiling.
I remember jamming to music.
And playing ball.
I remember you being the greatest dad of all.
So your going to be there forever.
You better be.
I love you dad.
Thats all I have to say.
I dont want this to make you sad.
This is just my little way....
To say happy fathers day.
