part six

“I always am” I told him before hurrying off. I jumped into the air spreading my wings and catching a breeze soared high into the air. With its’ help I raced towards the village with a million thoughts racing through my mind. I certainly wasn’t expecting what I found or I should say whom I found. It’ didn’t take me long to find a partly dried blood trail that led to the middle of the village. But what surprised me was that it wasn’t one of my people at least completely. “I don’t believe it,” I said in shock.
Plea…please help me,” Hawkeye moaned halfway into unconsciousness.
I couldn’t believe it, it really was Hawkeye, and many people, both Red-eye and mine hated him and wanted him dead. He was the b*****d son of an Elemental mother and Darkest father, his father was killed while stalling soldiers long enough so Hawkeye and his mother could get away. No one knows what happened to his mother, many believe she died a long time ago as to why they wanted Hawkeye dead my only guess was that it was because he was born of both races something that was forbidden and punished with death. But none of that mattered now because here he was lying at my feet and whether he was or wasn’t like me I couldn’t leave him there. “Hold on, I’ll help you,” I said.
“Tha…thank you,” came his muffled reply. I was able to get him to my hut and just as I was carefully lying him down, Fireclaw ran in still breathless. I pressed a cool cloth against his fevered brow as he tossed and turned but didn’t wake.
“Who is he?” Fireclaw asked. So I told him everything I knew. “Are you sure it’s ok to help him?”
“Yes, it will be fine,” I answered starting to clean his many wounds and fixed him up the best I can. He was quite a fighter most have died from the pain alone never mind the blood loss. But I guess he had to be considering everyone wanted him dead. He was very handsome, hie fur was mid-night black with matching feathered wings with two snow white strips running down his back from his head to his bladed tail. His eyes when open were a deep crimson, that held much sorrow. With his wings spread out on either side of him he looked like a dark angel.
The rest of the day passed slowly, I woke Hawkeye long enough to sip water and eat but other then that he slept and even Fireclaw eventually fell asleep as the day turned into night. I decided to stay awake as long as I could to watch over Hawkeye plus I was worried that Red-eye might return. Once in awhile Hawkeye would move and mumble in his sleep but when I rubbed his forehead he settled down. Unfortunately I too grew sleepy and placing an arm protectively around Hawkeye I fell asleep.
Chapter 8-Hawkeye

When I awoke the sun was shining brightly, the pain was still there but I noticed it wasn’t as bad as it had been. I also noticed that I was wrapped in bandages but when I tried to sit up I felt something tighten around me. Moving slowly I slipped out the near death grip and got. I looked down at my savior and was startled by the angel that my eyes. She was a pure Elemental and very beautiful, she too had a dragon but this one was no more then a large house cat. Both slept peacefully enough but every now and then the female’s tail would twitch. Moving quietly I made for the door but a loose floor broad betrayed me and looking back I saw the female stir and raise her head looking at me through sleepy eyes.
Chapter 9-Catra

The next day I awoke to small noise, sitting up seeing that Fireclaw was still sleeping and that it was Hawkeye that was awake. “I’m sorry if I woke you,” he said turning away.
“You shouldn’t walking, you should be resting,” I scolded.
“It’s ok the fevers gone and I’m no stranger to pain,” he answered.
“Still you should rest Hawkeye it not good for your health,” I reminded him.
Whipping around he asked, “How do you know who I am?”
Surprised you answered, “Everyone knows who are after all not many like you.” Fireclaw woke then and while Hawkeye paced restlessly I made a small breakfast. I told him about what happened as we ate. He in turn explained how he came upon Red-eye. I horrified to hear what they did to him but it became one more reason for me to get rid of Red-eye.
“As I laid there beaten I saw a ruby dagger hanging on his belt and a crimson dragon by his side.
“If that’s true then we’re going to problems,” Fireclaw.
Turning to him I asked, “Why?”
“The dragon is a bit more stronger then I am, at least last time we met he was,” he said. We sat in silence as Fireclaw explained that the bearer of the Ruby Dagger could control the destructive power that laid dragon.
