I was logged on as Bunny yesterday around 5:30, 6:30. I go downstairs to get a snack and end up being down there an hour or two. COme back up and Gaia has logged me out. No big deal, Gaia does that, right?
WRONG!
I go to log back in and it tells me my password is wrong. Try again a couple of times and guess what? 15 minute stuck out.
So I log onto Tiger and make a topic in the Q&A cause I'm freaking out and can't think what to do.
I try to do the whole "password recovery" thing and am told my email isn't in the system. s**t.
Meanwhile, I'm logged onto YIM freaking out to my friends while trying to get my account locked so I don't lose any of the TEN MILLION GOLD worth of items I have on that account. So anyway, all of a sudden, YIM logs me out. Try to log back in, wrong password. Uh yeah. So, just to make sure YIM isn't being stupid, I go to Yahoo and try. Nope, wrong password.
SO! I'm freaking out more and right away clear all my private data and run a spyware check. Delete whatever is found. Realize I should go and check my hotmail account which is what I have Bunny registered on (which, btw, my Yahoo address is registered with my very first account which I no longer get on). Guess what? My password is incorrect. So, I reset that one too but don't see a message from Gaia so I'm like *death*
Either way, the hacking report has been sent and I PM'd a mod to have the account frozen. I fortunately had a recent screenshot of my inventory that I sent in. I took this 5/2/2008, so yeah. Only a month old :]
So anyway, it gets better.
I couldn't sleep at all last night and ended up staying up all night. So this morning I get online and check my email on Yahoo. Guess what I found? A Yahoo password change (not me), a Gaia change (not me), and a Yahoo password change (me). I'm like "YOU b*****d!" So, I go to check Hotmail, cause remember, I hadn't seen anything from Gaia. But, now that I'm not freaking out and have seen Yahoo, I check the deleted message folder. LOOK what I found!
Oh, and even better. I sent my account a message when I was gr saying that this person was a b*****d and I would get him. And guess what? HE WAS READING MY PMS!!! Cause when I checked later, it wasn't in my outbox, it was in my sentbox. I mean how rude! Reading another users messages! GR!
Um. Yeah, but that's my story. I'm not freaking out too much. I just kind of know it's all going to work out and I'll get my account back, I just need Gaia to get to it.
And what else? Oh yeah, I was going to lament now.
So yeah. I mean, it's not so much the fact that it's pixels that I'm missing. I know that gold is not real money and that life could be worse. I happen to think I'm doing very well. It's the fact that I put 4 years into making that account and that all of the items have a memory attatched with them. I'm hoping they're all still there.

All this happened on June 3rd. On June 26, I got on Gaia to find a PM from an Admin telling me my account was back. And now, it is!
I logged on and checked my stuff, and the a*****e had deleted my avatar, though didn't save it. He had sold 7 of my items- Kiki, Coco, Bani Clips, CN Scarf, Angelic Camisole, Dark Halo, and Elegant Veil. I also had 3.25 million gold. I kid you not. Screenie.
So, with this gold, I could buy back 5/7 items that were stolen from me. I got a PM from one of the ladies I had bought from, and when I was talking to her, I told her I was just trying to get back the items that were lost to me. And she sent me the last 2 items O_O I am forever in her debt and would bear her children if that was possible.
Anyway, so things are back to normal :] I have a better pass that I'll be changing a lot, you can count on that. Um. What else, life is just good biggrin
It's a little sad that the items aren't my original ones, the ones with the memories, ut you know what? I don't mind :] I have my inventory back and life is happiness.
