That’s when I saw a creature?
A thing?
All I knew is it wasn’t human.
I really didn’t have a clue.
It was a creature I did not know of.
It was a being, too vast and vague.
Unknown to my knowledge, it stared at me.
At the same intensity and vividness, my eyes landed on it.
I couldn’t take my eyes of this creature.
Fear was in my eyes.
I felt my blood rush and my heart pound, maybe because of fear.
This monster was my dilemma.
My whole body started to go numb.
I was really scared, I human after all.
And as a normal human being would react if you would just randomly see
A very vague thing or creature.
I was weird, yes.
But I am human.

I didn’t even know if it could talk.
So I didn’t know if I should start a conversation.
“Do you have it?” ‘It’ asked.
For a minute, I didn’t know what the creature in front of me was talking about.
But, it dawned to me.
‘The Death Note?’ the question ran wildly into the back of my mind.
I was about to ask if the so called “Death Note” was what it was looking for.
But, unfortunately my voice was caught in my throat.
I tried my hardest to ask this vast creature what it was.
But no voice came out.
Was my mouth in too much fear that though I wanted to talk I couldn’t?
“I’m a shinigami.” The creature replied, bluntly and randomly.
“Shi-shi-niga-mi?” I stuttered.
“I once owned that death note, but I wanted to help fix the Kira case.” It replied.
I began to nod vigorously.
I didn’t know if I wanted to believe him.
But I had no other choice.
“I’m Kyo.” It supplied, not really wanting an answer from me.
“Kagami.” I replied, casually.
Kyo simply nodded.
His presence and existence was unclear for me.
So as if he had read my mind, he convinced me that “Death Note” was real.
He also began explaining anything and everything about the Death Note and Shinigamis.
He also told me of a scary trade.
“If you give half your life to me, I could give you my eyes.” He supplied.
He had told me that his eyes could see a person’s name and how long he/she will live.
And I remembered that you can only kill a person if you know his/her name.
Of course, I declined the offer.
Because what use would be giving half my life time away for some eyes I would never use.
I would never use those eyes because I would never likely want to kill anyone.
Even for the good of the world, even for the good of humanity.
And even for building a “Utopia”.
The idea of a utopia with no flaw or wrong, no mistakes, no dilemma, no problems
No evil people no, was bliss
But, what would be the point in making this utopia
If you’d have to kill.
To kill many lives or a single one.
So, I can never forgive Kira.
For killing lives.
Lives that can never be returned.
Even if his intension was to make a perfect world.
Even if he planned on constructing a utopia.
It’s still selfish to kill.
That’s one of my and L’s principles.
And we’ll never change that.
Cause that’s what we believe in.
Again, I can never forgive Kira
For killing.
Killing countless lives.
Lives that can never be returned.
Never ever.
