Approx. 3 weeks ago, I got on a plane...wait...backtrack.

I left home, everything packed. I was ready. Fully ready.
We get to the airport and I break down in the doorway...I had forgotten my Passport. Two hours away, my passport sat at home. But, after freaking out and a bit of creative family networking, my sister brought it half way to us, while we met her half way back.

K. THEN I got on the plane...with Brooks & Dunn (well known country music stars...cool).

After a somewhat long, boring flight, we began our entry...I had begun to wear my promise ring on my ring finger...which is only slightly too small. During our descent, it slipped off. In the confusion of everyone leaving and me searching, the crew of the plane (and even Kicks Brooks?!) began to assist me in my search for my "wedding ring." sweatdrop

After finding it, I sat around LAX for about an hour...then my cell rang. The most beautiful voice I've ever heard came out and said my name...

I got on another plane with a rather large group of kids for some sort of field trip...I wanna know who sends kids to Australia for a field trip...
For 14.5 hours I was out cold.

Then, I was handed a customs slip...omg...I'm really doing this. I went through customs and proceeded to pick up my stuff and head out...where a camera flash caught me off guard. I look around and...

As if she appeared in that flash, there she stood, this large smile on her face...I knew in an instant...

You know that old proverb, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with but a single step..."
I had taken that step...and oh, what a journey.
