Laments of the Rose
Yes, this is my journal. No, you will not find anything interesting.
Recycling!
I don't know how many people actually care about recycling. I found some info that I found interesting about reducing plastic waste.

First, there are those lovely plastic bags...the ones that accumulate in my kitchen and are currently taking over two drawers. I found that over 100 billion plastic bags are thrown away every year, which is the equivalent of dumping nearly 12 million barrels of oil. Only 1 percent of plastic bags are recycled.

Here are some things you can do: some stores, such as Ralph's actually have a plastic bag recycling bin. And not just plastic bags from Ralph's. I bring all of my plastic bags there. I always recycle them. If you do not want to take the time to save them and drop them by, then maybe try some of those cloth bags that most supermarkets sell now. They are re-usable for every shopping trip. Or if you have your own cloth bag use that. I have seen people bring back their plastic bags too and just re-used them. Here is something interesting: some people are taking these plastic bags and making rugs out of them! Try looking online. Some of them look pretty cool. If I was anykind of good at anything, maybe I would try doing that. But the point is, do something with these freaking things! Don't just throw them away! They are just going to end up in our oceans! Fact!

Here is another plastic problem: bottles such as shampoo bottles and what not. So many thrown away each year. Here is a solution to that: go Lush! If you look on their website, you will see that they have things such as shampoos and deodorants that do not come in a container. No wasting of any plastic with these products, and they are all natural. The products are reasonably priced, work well (see reviews on their website), and last a long time. Why not? As soon as I have any kinda cash I plan on getting some of their products.

Then there is the girly one: applicators...you know which ones I mean (for that special time of the month). Try switching to OB (they sell them at all markets). Look them up online if you don't know what I am talking about. No applicators. You get used to it after the first couple. It isn't really any different, and not difficult.

There we go. That is my attempt to help out the environment and reduce waste.
Your turn.
