A sea of paper dolls
upon which we float
we float among these
These sad things
forgotten and discarded

Here we are
alone
amongst these dolls
In this empty abyss
I confess my love
to you
and yours
to me

The emptiness that was
and is here
becomes
became
undone, redone
folded, crumpled
scarred and forgotten

Paper dolls
they that cry tears
of eternal soulless
abuse, discontent,
and reckless abandonment
of words strained and forced
which we all worked
so hard to express

Our journey over the sea ends
as we dock on a shore
free from that tormented sea
turbulent with dread
full of hope
and wrought with disappointment

Within view is a field
a field of paper flowers
littered with love letters
of happiness and vows of monogamy
dancing frozen in time
by frigid winds born to
be unbroken as they should be

Here we tie our hands
dedicating us to each other
with shreds of our shredded lines
and stolen words
here amongst these promises
we begin

Journey onward
onward we pass the
paper children of blind giants
and all consuming beasts
that feed off fool's follies
and sins that pervert love

Yet climbing, restless
mountains of poems,
words, endless words
words without meaning
those that are only words
just words

Words
these beasts that plague
our existence
end in nothing but
dead lifeless
empty words

Lies, Truths
Promises, Secrets
Guidance, Letters
Tomes, and notes
all these in the
end mean nothing

Just like you and I
We mean nothing
Nothing in Life
Nothing in Love
Nothing in Nothing

Nothing though nothing
is always something
Something more
Than amazing

Nothing is everything
You are my nothing

Nothing is everything
All things are words
Words seep onto paper
Paper seeks the metal and light
that connects your heart
to my heart

Between this machine
and that one is that empty sea
that sea of paper dolls that
ends in nothing
that ends in everything
everything that makes
my heartbeat that of another

You are my nothing
as to say you are my everything
