Anime Reviews!
Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni
Rating: Five Starz
This anime is a very good example of what can be done when you think. Instead of a generic fuedal plot, the creators go for a sortof 'whodunit' thriller involving psychological problems, and different universes. I don't reccomend this to anyone who does not like psychological thrillers, or is squeamish. Really.

Inuyasha
Rating: One and a Half Starz
This series just really ticks me off. As you can see, it's about a girl who falls through a well and meets a dog demon. But, it does little to explain any of the following
1. How a dead person can come back to life when there is already a reincarnation of them.
2. Why a Buddhist monk heals and does anti-possessions when Buddhists don't specifically believe in god. They believe in enlightenment, and therefore, would probably not believe in yokai, or demons.
3. Why a jewel that can create full demons isn't guarded properly.
4. Kazanas. Kazanas. Kazanas. Wind tunnels in the hand. Last I checked, the spirals sucking people in belongs to the 'Uzimaki' manga series.
Before anyone says anything, I tried to watch this series. I just didn't like it.

Naruto
Rating: Three Starz
The only problems I see in this series is the large amount of raving rabid fanatics and the tendency of characters(cough, SASUKE) to angst about their problems all the time. Sure, your parents were killed by your brother..but, maybe you should stop telling every one you know about it..I'm pretty sure that's the easiest way to tick your teammates off.

Uzimaki
Rating: Four and a half Starz
As you can most likely see, I love psychological thrillers. This series involves a small village and the freaky happening as people slowly lose their minds due to the natural spirals. Other than the man contorting himself into a spiral in the bath tub, I found this series fairly tame, but the mental aspects of some of these people will give even the strongest person nightmares.

Hellsing
Rating: Four Starz
This series, following the Van Hellsing game and movie, which I adore, is a very well-thought out series. Unlike other series that completely dissect legends about vampires and such, this sticks true to the olden rumors of 'Vampyres'. And it captures how a vampire is supposed to be, freaky, nuts, and uncontrollable. Plus, extra points for powerful females and a Schrodinger's cat character. Yes, I'm a nerd. Get over it. And, more points for the whole secret order of holy knights/freemason thing. Seriously, Abraham Van Hellsing himself was part of a secret order of a Catholic church. These series creators really did their homework.
