She could not remember how long she had been lying there, only that soon she would be free. There was a knock on the stone door that barred her exit and the girl cringed as the metal scrapped along the cold rough stone. A guard entered, his wings barely fitting through the dorrway. The girl shyed away, her own wings drooping so low they touched the cold stone around her. The guard grabbed the girl by the arm and began to drag her roughly to the doorway. She was thrown to the ground as the guard closed the door. Another guard joined them, grabbing her other arm as they began to walk down a long hallway. The floor remained the same dark, cold stone as the room she was in moments ago. She wimpered in pain as her wings scrapped along the stone, feathers falling softly. Her heart thumped loudly in her chest, a silent drum. The guard stopped, dragging her to her feat. She wimpered again in pain and fear, however she had no time to register exactly where she was as a big voice boomed down at her.
"Constance Peace," it boomed.
She had not heard that name for a long time. It almost sounded alien.
"Welcome Constance," it continued to boom.
She shivered and bowed her head.
"We have a way for you to earn your freedom,"
She looked up, almost whispering ",how?"
"You must become human, live with them, be them," it boomed.
Her eyes widened in shock ", thats not possible."
"We will give you your wings if you are able to make friends as a human,"
Constance looked down at the ground ", i will try my best."
"Take this," the voice boomed, an angel imp apeared, shining "This will be your guide. You will have an envoy and an extra healper if you need her. There is also another friend...whatching. Do try hard."
Constance stared in awe.
"Good luck Constance. May the gods be with you."
"Constance Peace," it boomed.
