Broken Wings

broken wings
they will not fly
mangled torn
throughout there time.
scars liter its scalely hide
bruises form from a beaten life
they sit to heal
till they die
never to see
the open sky
love has torn them
to the bone
pain has them
forever to hold
never to heal just quiet right
they'll sit there till the time is right
problem is the time wont come
cause love has left them
and run from home
the bones are broken
from massive pressure
to be forgotten
and the skin is
slashed and cut up
from setting depression
the nerves are severed
from the world
so the pain of an
empty heart
cannot shine though
and all the while
muscles weaken
as they have no use
they make one wish
to leave this place
but it is no use
its chained in place
by its own lover
that it thought was true
now its stuck
in a time not new
slashes, bites,
cuts and bruises,
broken bones
with several loses
all show a battle lost
all in the name of a love
forever gone
as the wings fade
the heart does too
forever locked away from pain
and love too.
